Support your local farmers who feed your community, instead of multinational corporations who only care for profit for themselves.

There are plenty of sustainable ways feasible even for small-scale African farmers with traditional tools, such as EVERGREEN AGRICULTURE, BREADFRUIT REVOLUTION, FERTILIZER MICRODOSING, VETIVER-SYSTEM, MUCUNA-BEANS GROUND-COVER FERTILIZATION, IMPROVED ZAI PIT SYSTEM, CONSERVATION AGRICULTURE, FARM POND TECHNOLOGY, STONE-GULLY-PLUGS, CONTOUR-BUNDS AND MANY MORE that could sustainably double and triple the yields and soil-fertility - but these are never mentioned by the large corporations and in the policies recommended to governments by USAID, because there's no money in it for the multinational corporations. Everything that makes Farmers and Nations independant is bad for these bloated transnational companies whose revenues are higher than those of many African countries combined. USAID is mainly their trojan horse, hiding behind a cloak of "charity".

Why is this GMO nonsense being pushed down our throat? We have been using our traditional system of producing our food since when and why should we discard that and accept something from " someone with a different mindset"?

Will dig our own grave and fall into it.

As usual this report is a typical discriminating and misleading write up. We farmers would profit from it. Yes we would buy the seeds from them but we would use less or no fertilizers anymore and have higher yields and output of our crops. The plants would we resistant to diseases and etc. Now you stupid folks make that math and check what is cheaper for us. Using our old seeds with fertilizers, loosing crops cause of diseases or paying more for seeds using less or no fertilizers and have higher yields? Don't forget that the fertilizer industry is also lobbying so that their business will stay on. And yes some of these companies have invested for years billions of dollars into research so its normal that these guys wanna make some money too. Invest early and earn big. That was there strategy. So stop been bias and come up with you own strategy to make honest money.

Our lack of research is the problem. There's nothing out there that we can not stop that is hampering our efforts to get high yields and stop harvest lost if we put money into research to get into the bottom of it.

On our part, we haven't even tried but quick to jump to others for help that we've not know anything about.
There're thousands of local remedies for everything and anything under the sun.
Laziness is what makes us to jump to others for solutions we can solve locally. Besides, we have more farming land presently under utilized to maximize agric output. If our attitude towards farming remains the same, NO AMOUNT OF MAGIC SEED WILL DO FOR US.
We're approaching agro-farming the same way we've approached religion.
Go to church and pray a lot all day,all night and hope our situations change from the worst to super better without any effort on our part? In the long round, it is the very pastors we give our monies to to build up are now our new tormentors who torment us with fear, and so too will be the people we
are calling in to solve our food problems for us when we hardly tried ourselves. Lack of self help and some higher efforts and discipline will always make us the slave for anybody whom we relinquish our rights to.

With the methods I've mentioned, high yields can be secured without GMOs and without destroying the Ghanaian small-scale farmers' income and making them dependent on foreign companies.

The methods I've mentioned are scientifically proven to raise yields much more than any GMOs and approved by the UN agricultural experts, e.g.:
