Folks, most of you make me chuckle by your general sweeping comments about this whole case which has been finally thrown out by the court.
1. There are those of you blaming the the President(forgetting about judiciary and the legislature)
2. There are those who blame the judiciary forgetting that these bunch of lawyers are there not to be influenced or swayed by emotion or the general public outcry in their deliberation on any matter that is brought before them. Court proceedings, folks, is about evidence,and not any other evidence, but evidence BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBTS. The judges are there to apply the law as laid down and not what they think should be applied. The man got paid by the state in the first place and if the Sate has recovered her mistake and has come back a second time and been defeated again, it means the truth can never be brushed aside. The prosecution lawyers have failed or could not provide the quality ingredients needed to nail their victim hence the bad taste that the nation thinks their soup (judgement) is.Mr Wayome, is a Ghanaian, the ordeal that he has gone through is more than enough. He has been set free to go but a section of the population, out of jealousy, I dare say, continue to prosecute him without course. If we all believe in democracy and the distinctive arms of government, then it is for the legislature, to learn its lessons, if any , and make things work better the next time.

Even in your referenced USA, that's exactly the conclusion the judge and jury will reach.
That's how it works in a democracy - EVIDENCE rules. The accuser must prove its case beyond reasonable doubt.
