Stop lying. This new system brings additional cost and no additional benefit. All the information to be registered under ASHI is also imputed and available on GCNET and with inspection agencies so why again this. Put a stop to this money extortion business with new regulations just to introduce new charges. You have asked each exporter to Ghana to deposit euro 250 so already based on the so called 2000 who have registered you have collected euro 500,000 so if no additional cost what was this money collected for ???

This is a lie Papa and you know it. Your shipment will only cost €20 if your exporter is registered directly.
It may cost extra €40 if he asks the Agent to create an application for him. There will be no extra cost to you.Your exporter will also provide you in advance the same documents that he provided the ASHI agent in his country. You will be required to present these same documents to Customs in Ghana so that the right amount of Duty can be computed and inform you in advance what Duties have to be paid. Once the information you have provided agrees with the information that your exporter had provided for the same shipment the Ashi number will be given from authorities in Ghana. The ship which will carry your goods will also print the ASHI number in the bill of lading and declare in its manifest 10 days before arriving in Tema.by processing in advance what the Ship is carrying on its manifest the whole process of turning around the berthing if the ship will take no more than 2 days depending upon the size of the ship.
No demmurage and no extra handling costs is also the aim of this exercise.
There are plenty of other benefits for the country in terms of statistics, security, dumping, quality, hoarding ,etc.Ghana economy will be very competitive and transparent and hopefully corruption free.
Hope this would help with your anxieties.

Such practical procedural info is surely among what the public wants foremost and should IMO be prominently provided with by the government and media.
Thanks, Mr. Asiadu.
(Please, also reform the seemingly totally intransparent vehicle importation evaluation rules. There are even websites and agents and for what I was often told even criminal officers taking money for what the administration could easily provide directly.)
(Please alo provide competent office-departments in major cities apart from Accra, so that not for every small matter one has to travel to the capital.)

This is all coming into the public domain as it is the beginning.
A day is not far away when an ordinary honest citizen of Ghana will be able to import without the help of the Customs Agents and clearing and forwarding companies. You will be able to fill in the Clearance forms yourself. Our President is a great President who knows what is good for the whole country and not just a few corrupt businessmen who will not pay any duties. For these people control is very important with as much chaos as possible and they have no concern for the ordinary child's future, If people like me and you do not speak up our country will never be freed from the mafia that is looting the citizens. If 17 countries have already decided to go on the schemeand a few rich Ghananians are objecting then is it not obvious that they are the crooks who have damaged the livelyhood of our ordinary fellow honest and law abiding country men.
The Auto pricing will also be tackled in the near future.

Do you think the exporter will not pass on the cost to the importer ?? If this system was free we would not complain so make it free and then introduce it with sufficient time and education.

Any agent of ANTASER the main agent if he charges more than €60 barring any mistake by the exporter should be crossed off the agency list.
In order to safeguard your psition you will have to ask your exporter to send you the ASHI related invoice from the Agent and see if any extra is charged.Take that invoice to the authorities and complain staright away.
