The last time when I wrote about it some including Sarpong wrote he never used any state car but I'm glad this group came to make it clear that he indeed used state car not just for personal use but for campaign for 19 good months which might have rendered the cars useless and not just one but two.
We are in a country where people think others are better than others and we have some useless groups they call OccupyGhana full of idiots who claim they know better but will most of the time display their ignorance to the extend of going to sue Oteng Adjei for using government car for 6 months while the person they are supporting used two cars for 19 good months.

This is what happens when Organizations like the OccupGhana fails to tackle the roots of issues and selectively jumps on the symptoms that portray their political foes alone as fallible.

Now, we have this cycle of equalization taking away from the real issue of Corruption that has pervasively consumed our Nation. How far back could we go to find others guilty for the same crime that we allege at others now?

Are we mindful of possible terms of limitation insulating some culpable past Officials? The reality is that most of our Politicians see the retention of Public Vehicles and Bungalows, etc., as part of their unwritten gratuity.

Up till now, we have not heard any appeals from the Public for the Judiciary and Parliament to reconsider the excessively luxurious ex-Gratia benefits for Officials that the former NPP Government created and rammed through Parliament for approval.

I strongly believe that some Officials look at the ex-Gratia for the Presidents, for example, and justify their post-service retention of a couple of State vehicles, say, as only peanuts that nobody ought to worry about.

We set an egregious example of setting our Presidents up for a majestic, bloated, indulgent living on retirement. Why then would a Minister not expect to have a little more than he or she enjoyed on the job for luxury after he or she leaves office?

We haven't learned to concede that our Politics tend to make Lords out of serving Officials, instead of humble servants of the People. We still regard high Political positions as an end to endless riches, not selfless service to the Nation. This is why our Politics has been full of dirty tactics, brutal enmity among opposing entities, and rush to dubious wealth.

We need to revisit that humongous Presidential ex-Gratia that is bigger than even that of the USA President's. What nonsense are we allowing in Ghana?!!
