On what basis are they going to prosecute Woyome differently from what the state attorneys will do,was it not under Amidu that those charges were filled in the first place?

As a a former lawmaker he should know better that cases involving the state are prosecuted by the Attorney General and state prosecutors but not anybody picked up from the street.

How many cases have these people ever prosecuted successfully that make them better than the state prosecutors and what guarantee is there that they will be able to prosecute a bogus charges like causing financial loss to the state?
I wonder why everybody wants to get involved in this case but will not get involved in other equally important cases.

You have murder cases like YA-NA which 15 people were acquited because the Judge said there was no DNA to prove the body was that of YA-NA but nobody is talking about that let alone preparing to appeal but all of a sudden the entire country is talking about Woyome.

WHY WILL ANYBODY ADD ''HONOURABLE'' TO THIS GUYS NAME? HOW DID WE GET HERE?

Member of Parliament for the La Dadekotopon Constituency, Hon. Nii Amasah Namoalo, claims he would have sued the government in court for more money if he were in the shoes of Alfred Agbesi Woyome.

The latter illegally received Ghc51 million from the State in 2010 for his role in the construction of stadia for the CAN 2008 tournament held in Ghana. And for this reason, the Supreme Court, on July 29, 2014, ordered him to refund the money to the state on the grounds that he got the money out of unconstitutional and invalid contracts between the state and Waterville Holdings Limited in 2006 for the construction of stadia for CAN 2008.

But speaking on UTV’s Adekye Nsroma, the MP for La Dadekotopon urged Mr. Woyome to go to court and sue the state for failing to present his contract to Parliament before the money was paid to him.

He accused the New Patriotic Party of masterminding this move when they were power and wondered why they failed to do the just thing by bringing the contract to parliament.

“If the NPP had brought the contract to parliament before the payment was made, the Supreme Court wouldn’t have directed Woyome to refund the money to the state…I wonder what influenced the NPP not to bring the contract to Parliament”, he said.

It's becoming clearer to me why there was truth to some of the criticism of the late Atta Mills administration by J.J. Rawlings.
NPP calls itself a party of Ghana's intellectuals but never a claim to be principled. Thus NPP can shamelessly overlook any of their own thievery, cronyism, favoritism, incompetence and abject treasonous acts of selling some of the most valued assets of the nation to foreign interests and yet have the balls to call others out.
Before anyone in Ghana can be morally fit to prosecute or investigate others in Ghana they must first subject themselves to the strictest of scrutiny by declaring sources of their entire assets and wealth. And just as the Christian God asked to see just 5 good people to save Sodom and Gomorrah so it is that I say to Ghanaians of goodwill to have people with principles to deal with acts of corruption and not partisan cowards and unprincipled hypocrites being offered as men of honor.
