Mahama should rather be standing trial alongside Assibit because he opened the flood gates for corruption when he was the Vice President and even continue to swindle the taxpayer till date. Mahama took advantage of the late Mills' incapacity and physical disabilities to milk Ghana dry through the shady STX deals where two other criminal northern stars, Kenneth Abongo and Alban Bagbin, were accomplices. Mahama then continue the loot through the criminal acquisition of the 5 - Brazilian embraer air planes, and hangars to accommodate same, at a much much much bloated sums of money. What is more? Mahama climaxed his evil intentions to steal with a full jet-plane load loot of our gold which would be later intercepted in Kuwait some few years on. And what is more interesting to note here is that, all these gargantuan crimes are committed by the only two alien groups, the Atinga-Trokosi descends of Togo and Burkina. I think this is the driving force which compelled Yaw Osafo Marfo to say what he said.

After Mills found Betty Moulds guilty of judgement debt payments the only thing he could do was to move her to the Education dept to continue her looting. Readers would recall that Betty Mounds was the one who awarded SCHOOL building contracts at a triple price of the existing contract sum of some GH 80,000.00. And this happened at a time when they claim inflation was in the single digits. Could you imargin how foolish these criminal liars were. Kuffour built similar structures with 80,000 at a time when inflation was around 14.8% and under Mills it was 240,000 at a rate of 8.8%. And these buffoons turn around to blame the fall of the cedi on some mysterious dwarfs. I don't blame those African countries that have been ripped apart by civil unrest because if you have such buffoons in power who always turn our local elections into a West Africa one
by contracting Togolese Trokosis, Burkinabe and Wangaras from La Cote D'ivoire to vote for them, the " Road To Kigare", is sometimes, a likely option to kick their ass from power.

All these Officials seem to have joined the Government with the sole ambition to share in the looting of Public Assets. Not a single one has any strand of patriotism in him or her. They all see Politics and Government as the ultimate wealth dump where they could easily grab anything they want to become the next Millionaires overnight.

Unfortunately, President Mahama either doesn't have in him the disciplinarian streak necessary for meting out swift but legal punishment to these folks, or simply does not believe these folks could perpetrate the crimes alleged against them. It is only with the encouragement of the Executive that the Law Enforcement Agencies could exact the necessary preventive and penal measures to curb Corruption among these high level Officers.

These crooked folks simply do not believe in achieving success in life with any honesty. They share the common trait of considering 'connections' and 'bribery' as normal way of doing business, or achieving one's goal.

Many are egoistical 'rural scholars', what we used to call in Twi 'Akurase Krakye' who try so hard to impress their folks but never have any intention to share their wealth with folks back in the villages. Others from the Cities have the mindset that they are the only ones that deserve the best of what life can afford and that the most Ghanaians, especially, those of us from the hinterland, are ignorant buffoons who need only rats, snails and stock fish to thrive.

The prime goals of these kleptocrats often are to have a huge mansion and luxury cars to show off to their folks. Never do they help in anyway to improve the lives of their fellow town- or village- or Community-folks via infrastructural development or better Educational opportunities.

Therefore, I cannot find any sympathy for these criminals. They do not deserve any reprieve by the President, if the Courts find them guilty. Their penalties must be very heavy, including retrieving all the Funds stolen plus interests and long jail-terms. Their return to the Society to help rebuild it is not even needed. If they could ever have any help for the Society, it would have been at its best without their crimes. In the absence of the firing squad of the J. J.'s AFRC era, guilty kleptocrats must be kept in jail for very long terms.
If I were any influential in setting the jail term for such criminals, the minimal terms would be: 5 years for stolen funds under GHC 1000, 15 years for funds between GHC 1,000 and 10,000, 25 years for funds between GHC 10,000 and GHC 50,000, and 45 years for all above GHC 50,000.
When found guilty, I would not shed a tear for them. I'd suggest to have the Law lock them up and toss the key! These folks are cold-hearted, stony insensitive leaches who don't care about the plight of the millions other Ghanaians. It is about time we made Corruption one of the most abhorrent anti-Social behaviors commonly punishable with a jail-term of one generational era.

If such Culprits go to jail young and come out grey-haired and senile or die there, others would have something to fear for indulging in Corruption.
