  The more unsanitary environment, the loss of State revenues. It's not enough to just have a mandatory monthly cleanup. Where are the waste bins to collect the trash & after collecting it, how do you dispose or get rid of it? ...

  The more unsanitary environment, the loss of State revenues. It's not enough to just have a mandatory monthly cleanup. Where are the waste bins to collect the trash & after collecting it, how do you dispose or get rid of it? As long as homes don't have access to toilet facilities, ghanaians will always defecate in the open & as long as gutters remain uncovered, endemic of diseases will affect people, which means costly for the government to treat. You don't need a rocket scientist to figure that out.

  At a press conference held in Accra Thursday to analyse the 2015 budgetary allocation to the water and sanitation sector, Mr Arthur said: “Approximately 19,000 people including 5,100 children under the age of five die each year of diarrhea, nearly 90% of which is directly attributed to poor water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services.”
  
  He said: “USD54 million is lost each year in accessing health services.”

  A good leader think of others.A good leader share tears when a poor cries.A good leader wish for others as he wishes for him/her self.A good leader has vision and planing.A good leaders want to leave good legacy behind them.We can create millions of jobs through sanitation across the country to keep our streets tidy and instead of losing million of dollars yearly we will rather gain and save lives.It's a choice.Our leaders can do more to better the lives of Ghanaians but they will never do.They should be ashamed.I always fill sad to read things like this.I can help creating millions of jobs across the Country through sanitation and provide good drinking water for every house hold in Ghana.They should throw the challenge to me and allow me to put my good measures down and see what will happen within two years.I know they will not pay attention to me but one day for the love I've for my Country,God will lead me to solve this problems facing our mother land (Ghana).The land I love...most!
