I Beg to differ with you sir, because as judge noted in his judgement it was prosecutor(s) who did a bad job of not presenting evidence that may warrant a conviction from him. Please, note that to earn conviction in criminal case(s) there should abundant of evidence(s) against the culprit. Evidence the Attorney General and her staff failed to introduce in court by deliberately or on purpose, keeping away witnesses who were principally connected to the case is the reason why Mr. Woyome is walking on the street of Accra as a free man today. They know how the money was disbursed. Therefore, to bring out these witnesses to testified in court would have leak out so much information. Preferably, they will lose a case like this knowing very well that they are not accountable to anyone.

(I mean the person representing you in parliament) He sums up what is suppose to come from La Dadekotopon. I know many communities just like you have made mistakes by electing people who have nothing in common with the values of the communities they represent. IT WAS BY MISTAKE THAT THIS HAD HAPPENED. YOU CAN REDEEM YOURSELVES WHEN GIVEN THE CHANCE AGAIN. Woyome did not defend himself by laying down a copy of a contract agreement between the government of Ghana and him, Woyome, to that effect.
His line of argument was that when he sued the State for breach of a contract(which had not existed), the Attorney General and her office did not oppose him, and did not file defence for the State.
Witnesses came and declared that there was no such contract. Even the Austrian Bank he claimed to have dealt with, did not know of any such deal. (Did it just skip the Judge?)

It looks as if this Judge is saying: "You did not call his collaborators and partners in crime, to testify. And that is good enough for me to prove him innocent. Whether he lied to the first Judge or not"

When such a Judge is ruling your case, the 'WRONGEST' question is:
"WHY DID YOU LOSE?????"

One single High Court Judge cannot be wise and more learned than nine Supreme Court Judges.

The criminal case, whether he lied to the very first court, in order to get that judgement debt, has just been decided by ONE High Court Judge alone.

Whether this High Court Judge was bribed, or tricked, or influenced, like Betty Mould and her team at that time, nobody can tell.

Why did the judge say Woyome must answer the charge if the prosecution had not made a credible case. It is very clear that Woyome at that point had to mount a strong enough defence to clear his name andthe only way possible for the judge to acquit Woyome was to say Woyome had shown that he didn't fraudulently claim the money. For the judge to then go on to disregard his earlier ruling and now say the prosecution didn't make a case is clearly contradictory and does not make any sense. The ndc are a bunch of thieves but when you read between the lines of what the dep AG was saying, it shows he feels ugly betty and others should stand trial but for whatever reason that is not happening. Clearly there will be some within the ndc who will be afraid to lose their seat if this case is not successfully prosecuted but others who directly benefitted will not want that. Only those behind the scene will know exactly what is going on. However it's clear betty and co conspired to rob the state and must be prosecuted.

The truth is if Woyome wins everyone who had a hand in the payment will feel vindicated and all behind the scene guys within the NDC who benefitted financially win and defy the odds of going to jail but if Woyome loses a whole lot of people lose too and risk serving time in jail for their various schemes either as co-conspirators in facilitating the illegal payment or as beneficiaries of a fraudulent deal. This case is bigger than the public eyes can see and it has the potential to unmake the already threatened political fortunes of some big fishes in the government.
For fear of stepping on some high profile toes the Attorney General's office became the unwilling and uneasy prosecutors of a benchmark case that has the potential of changing forever the way government business is done in this country. Their plan was to flunk at the trial knowing the public would be upset with the verdict but not enough to cause the skies to fall down. The verdict in favor of Woyome was a huge relief to many who have been sitting on tenterhooks but the public outcry against the High Court verdict has sent the case back to court and the odds are the ruling will be retained because there's too much at stake if the decision sways in favor of the public who suspect government officials of malfeasance and complicity.

So the basic elementary question to the AG and her team including Dr -Ayine is ; So when will a decision be taken on it ? Again, who is in charge to prosecute the case.The past or the present AC ? If the present AG, why have the present AG and team refused to review the decision not to prosecute collaborators alongside Woyome by the previous AG(Betty Mould) whom in my opinion is equally liable to be prosecuted alongside the others. Why ? The fact that the decision not to prosecute the other States Officials was taken by the previous AG, is neither here nor there. huh,Dr Ayine ! That a very weak position indeed.
