Incumbent Chairman of the governing party Dr Kwabena Adjei has told starr news in an interview that he is being blamed by members of the National Democratic Congress, for the failures of the current Government.

“Everything the Government has done and has not done well from the energy crisis to lack of funds for GETfund scholarship to school feeding programme to poor road network to lack of potable water in certain places, all are government responsibilities, I’m not the person to be blamed, but when I go out they blame me, as if I was the minister of water resources works and housing, minister of roads, minister of energy, minister of this, they put it on me,” the two-time Chairman who is running for a third consecutive term told Ibrahim Alhassan.

The former Minister in the Rawlings Government, nonetheless conceded that the complaints of the party “mirror the general view” of Ghanaians in the country.

“…I take some of the blame because I’m the party chairman, and I can’t go out of my way to deny,” he said.

Yet you still want to keep borrowing. The only way to stop this borrowing nonsense is to politically attack the MPs who are supporting this train-wreck.

I am surprised at how ineffective the opposition parties are in exploiting the mismanagement and elementary mistakes of the current government. This government is a complete disaster, yet the opposition parties are not doing their job in explaining to Ghanaians the almost irreparable problems this government is saddling the country with.

Until we have changed the way our government operates and the legislative and executive arms earn the income that suits their input, there will be no change in the life of the ordinary Ghanaian; by that I don't mean only poor people, but anybody outside politics who is also not a celebrity.
What do I mean by that? Until parliamentarians and ministers stop getting wages that they don't deserve, they will never see any reason why Ghanaians are complaining. If they see the need for all the benefits that they have allotted to themselves to make life comfortable because to them that is the reality of today's economic condition, why do they think that comfort should be denied others outside politics? People of Ghana, your legislators and the executive arm will never change anything to their disadvantage. It is you and I who will have to change the status quo. I'm bringing this up today and I believe people will take it up from here and talk about it till the constitution is amended. The amendment must see a change in the situation where legislators pass bills on benefits that goes to them without any trouble, but refuse to do the same for others. They must not decide how much they earn; that must be decided by the people, and it must go up in proportion with that of the rest of us. The free this and free that must cease. That does not make them feel what we feel, and therefore does not lead to taking sensible decisions to solve our problems. It will also be less attractive to nobodies who resign their jobs to seek greener pasture there only to enrich themselves.
The second issue is the situation where a parliamentarian is given a ministerial appointment yet, continue to be a legislator. Yes, the constitution allows that, but common sense must tell us that it is not proper, and they can never perform efficiently in both capacities. I'm therefore not surprise that things are not working for us. Somebody must talk about this, I have started it. Let's talk and call for a change. We have the power to turn things around. The politicians will not do it, left to them.

We must be a country of value adders and not a country of traders else we are DOOMED for ever. I remember very well during Acheampong's regime. He stated clearly that "we are not paying any debt" and as such, he did not borrow. He rule with internal generate funds and Ghana was quite okay. We now have oil and a whole lot more but we cannot find our way out of the bottomless pit. The only thing this government understand is to borrow without a second thought.

How do we borrow to pay for salaries/wages? I still do not get it. What is going on in the minds of those who are leading us? Do these people have commonsense?

With elections looming in 2016 and the government eager to show something in the darkness, they are going to start a bunch of projects they have no money for and can never complete with their income. Productivity is at its lowest in the history of Ghana, corruption is at it's highest. The folks at Moody's have no Bias against Ghana. These are the facts on the ground. Sack the chief thief, Mahama, come 2016 and let's disinfect Ghana.

Within just 7years, an economy which had been put on a much better foundation with very positive prospects with incoming oil revenue, has kissed the canvas of retrogression and stagnation on the back of mismanagement, looting, incompetence and cluelessness.

In economics, as it relates to Ghana right this moment, the John Mahama-led NDC gov't can give all the sweet excuses to deceive Ghanaians. They'll soon find it as Dr. Bawumia had pointed out earlier---way back---in 2010, is like pregnancy; you could lie about it, but can't hide it for very long. Soon, everything will be in the open; you'll be exposed! So the Finance Minister should keep on singing while he expect everyone to dance to his imaginary tunes. We'll keep on praying for a miracle---the suffering and misery ought to stop.

Interestingly, the NDC believe that once the Dum-sor situation is over, they'll win the trust of the Ghanaians electorate. What they don't seem to understand is that people are angry because of the election fraud and the bogus Supreme Court verdict, read by Justice Atuguba. It's clear that the economic chaos and everything Ghana is going through is the direct repercussion of stealing the ballot via EC's aid and the SC's endorsement of everything.

Mahaman's NDC gov't has lost God's favour; the Might One has turned His eyes away from the gov't and the nation and that's why everything continue to fall apart for Ghanaians under the NDC's rule. Everything that John Mahamam touches as president becomes a failure. In Christ, there's no lies, hypocrisy and propaganda. It's funny how Koku Anyidoho, Anita D'Soosoo, Felix Ofosu Kwaakye, Okudzeto Ablakwa, Asiedu Nketia & Co., understand the workings of the Mighty God. To them it's cool to use "buga-buga" means to achieve their political desires, meanwhile things ain't going right!

The first thing to do to show any seriousness in tackling the Moody downgrade of the Economy is declare war on corruption and immediately round up all the corrupt Officials and speed up the trial and conviction of those already at the Courts.

It is shamefully sad that we can hardly account for all the revenues from the Gold, Oil and Cocoa price increases and have to resort to borrowing from the IMF, again.

Now that the prices of Gold and Oil have significantly fallen, Ghana is caught with her pants down. How could our Officials even live with themselves for having led such a wanton dissipation of our financial assets?

I am beginning to believe that it does not take a soft heart and feeble will to govern a Nation, especially one like ours. A leader with a strong will and sturdy purpose is what Ghana needs. She does not need a President who thinks more of his or her personal fame, or popularity, than the Nation's advancement, and is fully satisfied only by his or her rise to the Presidency, and not Ghana's true development.

Long Live Ghana!!!
