This revelation must not surprise us at all. We must be aware of the fact that with the vast gap between our World and that of the developed Nations in terms of espionage systems and modern Communications methodologies, any urgent Governmental activity with vital foreign implications would be target for such espionage. We must not mistaken the deep penetration of Cell phone acquisition as some indication of our coming to par with them in the Technology arena. That would be a sad incidence of complacency. We have ways to go to catch up. And the earlier we hit the ground running, the better.

The 'big brothers' always have had a way of influencing local activities with any impact on their Trade and Economic well-being. And we must not forget that, to them, anything Economic is also Political. Even the most private deals between our local Enterprises or Entrepreneurs and theirs could be target for such insider prior knowledge to favor their side.

This is a fact we have to live with. However, it takes the firm and honest approach by our Government to thwart many an orchestration by these powerful Countries to get the better of us.

Often sheer transparency on our part stops their covert machinations to take undue advantage of us. Sometimes the mere fact that their activities could be exposed later to their utter global embarrassment serves as an unwilling moral restraint on them to stay above the table, or withdraw any excessively cheating impositions on us.

Vigilance and greater support for Education in modern Technology are a few things we could do to reduce our vulnerability to excess exploitation.
