  See Ghana? Promote so salary can increase, officer can take bribes for license, etc. This SPA should be restructured to function well. Mechanics and fittershops all over this country are indiscriminately spilling and disposing less/waste oils and other lubricants in manners solution threat and hazards, and nothing is done about this. Why is EPA concentrating in only mining projects?

  The Enquirer has done a good job. The Prof. Nartey should also be commended by the directives that the promotion should be put on hold until a review is done. The issue of promotion and recruitment in recent times are becoming of great concern to some of us who have worked so hard to build the Public Service and exist with the joy that those we left behind will carry out from where we left.But what can we see today,manipulation s,nepotism , promotion of juniors over their seniors etc.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Intergration is one of the best offenders. Way do I say this.The interviews conducted for promotion to the FSO A1 grade two years ago was fraught with manipulation and all sorts of misdeeds aimed at favouring the junior group over their seniors and
  
  
  that was done without the knowledge of the Minister.The issue needs some independent investigation . Over to you dear countrymen and women .We need to protect our institutions and not individual interest. The Chairpeson of the Public Services Commission should sit up and do the right thing to protect the integrity of the Commision.

  The Ghana Evironmental Protection Agency (EPA) should be elevated to ministerial position, so that its mission would be clearly defined, and be held more accountable. EPA as presently constituted has a lot on its plate:
  Regulating our mining sector;
  Regulating our oil & gas sector;
  Not to mention, seeing to it that our water, air and land are clean; that we are monitoring deforestation and climate change.
