Otherwise, what the heck are they doing, since their figures contrast with that of MOFA?

Caution, though, President Mahama and Agya Terpker: As the IMF and the World Bank, operating in and with "high level of capitalists", which worship the PRIVATE sector as against Ghana and third World countries who worship the public sector (government), a lot of conditions—to increase prices on certain good; withdrawal of subsidies on certain goods & services; and to PRIVATIZE many government- owned enterprises—must be met.

In short, these Negroes (Mahama, his Finance Minister and other scheming economic honchos), are about to plunge Ghanaians into very harsh economic realities—if the IMF bails them out with that $900+ million meager loan. When will Ghana stand oh her own two feet and use her own resources to develop the country?

The NPP govt was heavily criticized by the NDC and Ghanaians were promised a "Better Ghana" so you cannot blame anybody for criticizing the NDC govt if things are worse. After all the NDC does not have the divine right to rule forever.

Once again the P(NDC)military and political party/gov't has been exposed for cooking the figures and massaging the numbers in a sad spectacle of propagandism and gimmickry with a very important aspect of governance; the economy and the finances of this country.
It would be recalled that, under the NDC I led by Jeremiah John Rawlings, this same NDC gov't, in seeking some reliefs from the Bretton Woods institutions cooked the figures and massaged the numbers for which reason Ghana was penalized.
Fast forward to NDC II under this John Mahama-led NDC gov't and this same NDC gov't was caught once again by the same Bretton Woods institution in the most recent bailout program the Mahama-led NDC gov't sought from the IMF, where the debt to GDP ratio as stated by Seth Terkper was found to be false and actually proven to be over the 60% threshold for debt sustainability.
The data sets concerning the inflationary trend of some food items as recorded by the GSS and the MOFA indeed as pointed out by the brilliant Economist Dr. M. Bawumia makes for a very interestingly strange and worrying phenomenon. The clear divergence of the data, which data clearly are diametrically opposed to each other, moving in opposite directions, is not only strange, but can be considered outside of the sphere of credulity, and can be described as out of this world. Were the GSS conjuring these figures from the planet Jupiter???
It is indeed most revealing and raises the issues rather forcefully about the level of competence, the clear detachment from responsible governance, the integrity of the data sets and the credibility of the Ghana Statistical Service. It cannot be gainsaid the strategic importance of credible data in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the metrics underlying the economy and the finances of the country within the context of our development objectives and goals, and it is frighteningly dangerous, when the Mahama-led NDC gov't since the time of yore continues to exhibit such a consistent pattern and practice of cooking and massaging the figures and data, to seemingly explain away their mismanagement, incompetence and looting which have all culminated to put the economy and the finances of this country in a strangle-hold, draining the life blood literally, out of this country.
Clearly, the Mahama-led NDC gov't lacks the gumption, the credibility, the integrity and the acumen to drive the socio-economic growth and development objectives of this country and need to be massively fired at the ballot box in 2016.
This is not governance, this is not leadership. This is a ghoulish joke of governance at it's apogee.
