How do you sleep togetehr with your family when pregnant women are dying because of lack of medications and facilities at our hospitals whilst you shameless and disgraceful beings continue to thieve the country?

Criminal, even a layman knows running a busy private practice or vice versa, does not suffice as enough credible reasons or grounds or precludes one from proving that Austro-Invest was in existence before going ahead with that plain thievery, as has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt.

Let's say Kuffour did not do well; so will any right thinking person say because Kuffour did not do well Mahama too should not do well? After all Mahama told Ghanaians that he could perform better than the NPP government and that is what Ghanaians expect him to do. NDC should stop taking Ghanaians for a ride. They promised one time premium payment for the NHIS. They could not do that. They could not even sustain the program and now the NHIS has collapsed. They are still telling a different story to Ghanaians.

The interviewer could have gone to ask the expenditure between 2001 and 2008 set against revenue. It would have become clear that we never experienced the level of fiscal deficits we are experiencing now. Debt servicing costs were also not at par with workers' compensation that we have now.

In economics, deficits matter only as a percentage of GDP; Dr. Bawumia knows it but he counts on the ignorance of most of Ghana's political news consumers to take his low ball bait and that is all that matters to Dr. Bawumia. Our economic god, Dr. Bawumia, cannot hold a candle to most of the world renowned economists and he knows it with his hatchet economic lectures. A true economist with no axe to grind would show through data why one economic period may be better on a year by year, local conditions by local conditions and above all global economic trend by trend but he chooses the easy political way out while showing his characteristic intellectual dishonesty when he compares a 2000 to 2009 period when most of Ghana' debt were forgiven enabling the Kufour administration to ride on a clean slate not to mention the ability to carry the national tin cup on a global begging exercise.

The ultimate question for the NPP economists Dr. Bawumia should be why did the Kufour administration leave office with debt on the books for Ghana? Would an effective, efficient, prudent and deficit hawk leave the nation with debt and have the nerve to call out others who add to the national debt as incompetent managers? Is Dr. Bawumia selling the same old tired politics that debt by NPP administration is better than debt left by an NDC administration? Is this not the mental set that has spurred some tribes in Ghana to believe that government level thieves from their tribe did no wrong while government level thieves from other tribes must be crucified and or imprisoned?

Secondly, any good administrator worth his or her weight in gold would put in place best practices and procedures to ensure that those better practices could only be overruled by the appropriate board at the bank of Ghana. Where are those markers Dr. Bawumia left at the Bank of Ghana for subsequent office holders if he wants us to believe he was the demi-god at the Bank of Ghana? It get tiring sometimes reading, listening and watching politics at its worst paraded as intellectual exercise in Ghana by shameless educated elite Ghana has to offer.

With cooked up statistical figures, he has undermined the credibility of Ghana within the international financial community, to the point that, he even "warned" the IMF to be "careful" dealing with Ghana.

Quite apart from the fact that the figures quoted were haphazardly arranged misrepresentation of irrelevant materials, he allowed the belching in his political stomach to override his cognition (granting that he has it!!). In so doing, he has prostituted the good name of Ghana to feed his own narcissistic political ambitions.

Speaking on the economy is not like writing a term paper with bundled data.

Has Mamudu Bawumia sat down to think of his freefall discontempt from the descerning public, ever since he's accepted to be used as a canon forda by the NPP. Does he know his most critics come from his own northern people and largely muslim community accros the country?, a constituency for which Nana Addo chose him to represent. Bawumia's image has slumpped to the lowest since his 8 months fruitless struggle at the Supreme Court trying to become Vice President through the processes of the courts. NPP conveniently uses Bawumia for the dirty jobs b'cos that falls within their thinking of who in their opinion the northerners represents. Its rather unfortunate Bawumia finds himself in a situation where he cannot marsal any support from muslim communities and northern voters. Bawumia could go on serving the interest of the very people who'll turn round to insult you as "Pepeni Aboa". For us, Bawumia is serving his own interest and not for any northern tribes or muslim community.

Even if Dr. Bawumia's lecture was 100% political, he said the truth as it ought to be! He didn't compromise. All he did was reveal the anomalies in the economic statistics and figures put out there by the finance minister and the Ghana's SS. Their forecast and economic projections or data are out of touch with reality and that's what Dr. Bawumia is concerned about. This has got nothing to do with politics or propaganda, as the NDC would want people to believe. The truth always hurts who's telling lies!
