Ghana's Volta Region has the most bloated voters register, world wide, if you factor in Ketu South. This is the reason why Prez. Mahama's party, the NDC, calls it their World Bank. "What is good for the gander is also for the geese", and charity they say, begins at home. This act of a sitting president is a selective justice, it stinks and it is shameful!

You're right about the CPP's history of rigging elections which dates way back to the beginning of party elections in the newly independent nation.There are several ways of influencing the result of elections. In the US the GOP is using re-districting, reducing early voting hours and voter suppression to swing election results in their favor. It's working for them so far but I'm sure the Democrats are working out a counter strategy to neutralize the GOP gains.
In Ghana the CPP began rigging elections very early but 99.97 per cent winning margin was not only ridiculous and preposterous but a clear insult to al fair-minded Ghanaians. The CPP activists who had no political home with the demise of their party joined the NDC partly to spite the UP and also to feel a sense of belonging in a party that was also socialist leaning. The CPP crossovers have since taught the P/NDC the fundamentals of rigging elections. Remember that those who joined the NDC en masse were those who felt they were on the fringes of Ghana politics and marginalised.The only reason why elections are rigged is because a party and or their candidates feel they don't have the numbers to win in a fair election and can only win unfairly.
