Under a scorching sun with atmospheric temperature of close to 100*C, you go to the North and find people wearing heavy smocks(batakari), some wear mantels , winter jackets which robe them from neck deep to toes, and they wear hats to cover the black bushy hair which could retain heat of temperatures more than double that of the surroundings. The dress of the Moslema is even words. They gown like choristers and put a much bigger robe ontop of the seemingly choir robe and a pantaloon( pieto/chokoto) made of about 2-yards of material, not to mention the big hats, the semblance of that of the Pope. All this happen in Ghana but you are quick to criticize the wearing of suit which could be less warmer than most of our local/traditional dresses.

Our president should dress Presidential ,he represents mother Ghana and someone need to help home dress for the job.It's obvious his wife is not helping in this area .Ghana needs to assign a fashion consultant to the president. I can speak on this from a personal experience here in the US. I got a big promotion from a grade fourteen to grade twentyone and I was still dressing poorly. One day a peer came to my office and said he needed to talk to me about the way I dress. I now know it was not an easy conversation for the peer.He told me that the way I dress is no he told me that the way I dress reflected on the agencu agency and he advised me to dress for my position. He took me to some stores and I came out with about ten business suits and shirts along with matching ties.The best advise I have had ,long story shot two years later I was promoted four more grades.Our president represents Ghana and as such must dress for the position.

I prefer a president who doesn't take the taxpayers' money to buy all kinds of suits to put on everyday but can use the taxpayer's money to implement single spin, can use the same money to import a machine from Turkey to fixed the energy crisis but not manage it. Presidency is not about dressing but it is about fixing the economy which NPP failed to do, NPP garnished the economy surface with social intervention programmes whilst the deep wounds of the economy were left untouched.
