The African Development Bank (AfDB) has come out to state categorically that they erroneously included Ghana with a group of countries under sanctions before them on the 17th February, 2015. Realising their terrible mistake, they quickly corrected that mishap on the 18th February, the very next day since Ghana, they claimed, is honouring her obligation to them accordingly.

Now, the desperados by which Kofi Bloomberg Mahamudu Bawumia is the second in command, can't take the correction on the matter vividly stated before all and have to go out on a limb like always to propagate falsehood to suit their agenda any which way necessary. Some may say the AfDB is telling a lie to save face on behalf of the NDC party.

Really!

Well, if that is the case, then isn't African Development Bank Group (AfDB) shooting her own foot with the classic silver bullet by painting it rosy in the name of Ghana under this administration whilst the Mahama-led government keeps defaulting on their obligations before the very AfDB? Amazing statistics coming only from the chest of the NPP's camp.

I do not mind if it was a political presentation or rally but an academic exercise, well, my boss Dr Bawumia, the person I admire so much got it wrong. As in academia one month is very long to have corrected the error if not for a political gimmick. I respect the NPP to be full of intellectuals who have got so many things right about the Ghanaian economy but this time my honourable doctor is wrong hands down! In this internet age, I have to revise my notes almost every forty-eight hours so as not to be challenged by my students because some of them are much ahead of what is happening around the world. Having said the above, we cannot rubbish the whole presentation as useless. Some lines he touched can be useful and should not be ignored.

The memo is available and if this lying and discredited NDC govt would be honest with itself, they would acknowledge their shortcomings apologize and assure Ghanaians and the AfDB, shirking of their fiduciary responsibilities both internally and externally would not happen again.
The Mahama-led NDC govt should apologize to Ghanaians immediately and address the NHIS, GETFUND, DACF, all statutory funds which are in arrears and stop prancing and goofing around. Ghana is sick and tired of such recklessness.
