I can not bring myself to believe that NPP the party that pride itself to be the most democratic in Ghana will ever think of such gender discriminatory strategy as its affirmation plan.

I can not bring myself to believe that NPP the party that pride itself to be the most democratic in Ghana will ever think of such gender discriminatory strategy as its affirmation plan.

The party may strongly support women political participation but to set aside women controlled constituencies for just women in itself is discriminatory that should not have even be on the table for discussion at all let alone to make it public as the party's affirmation plan, it's shambolically elementary, a shame and should serve as a wake up call for those who sets the party's strategies.

NPP should not begin to show signs of political weakness and must take time to dive deeper into research before coming out with dynamically proactive decisions at this moment to avoid any counter-productive decisions as the party have no time to waste and can not afford to fail the people for a change come 2016.

My question is, who is thinking for the party? Where are the brains?

So the idea not to contest female MPs and to make sitting MPs pay less than others interested in contesting coupled with the close date set for interested members to file their registration for the primaries was not taken by the NEC as we were made to believe but by sitting MP's thinking of their own self interest. NPP be careful cause this is a recipe for disaster.

Certain things are best left unsaid, untouched, unprovoked. Now the NPP have wetted the appetite of women and Gas to become MPs without competition from rivals. No sooner had the decision been made and opportunistically supported by Nana Addo than a huge backlash against it reared it's head by aggrieved party members. This has left a bitter taste in the mouths of Gas, and those females that the decision was meant to profit. Self inflicted injury by NPP. The biggest loser, Nana Addo who is too eager and desperate to grab unto any idea that promises him more votes. It's not only shameful but irresponsible and callous for women who have been crying for equality with men to support such a fiat by the NPP. This shows how selfish and disgusting such so-called women organizations are. Women should learn form their grandmother Eve how to live happily in this troubled world. There is nothing like equality with men. Men are men and women are women. Supporting such a measure simply means women should always be treated as weak and therefore need to be pampered like children. Is this what women want to be treated? For the NPP, I urge them to keep on fighting and the Vagabonds will continue to be in power.
