I can tell you Kwaku Duah is not a smart king. This is because he is breaking every rule of the Ashanti Tradition. His comments were out of line and he showed direct bias against the elders of the Kumawu stool. Legally and traditionally, the Queen has the right to choose anybody as a chief, so both the Queen and Otumfuo are right about the customary rules. However, Otumfuo's comment that it does not matter whether the chief's father is a Northerner or not is quite provoking. We are talking here about the Koduah Stool and it is foolish for the King to say that. He also had a demeanor which did not look neutral. He acted as if he was already mad at the elders before the start of the meeting. It is unfortunate that we have a King who is always breaking the rules and disgracing our kingdom. I wonder who are the advisers of this Ashanti King.

You really have a true Ghanaian mentality. It is either right or wrong, black or white with no grey area in between. Just because you are right about something does not mean you should be bias in public as a King. It takes a lot of guts to be in a position as a King, and we are talking about the Ashanti King, not any ordinary king.

It is not the King alone when it comes to womanizing let us be frank and blunt Ghanaian men and African men in general are all culprits it is a bad norm our fathers and fore fathers bequeathed to us.It is like a norm for a Ghanaian or African man to marry any number of women he choooses but a tabooo for a woman to marry one man.Just think about this and see what a primitive tradition has been bequeathed.I remember having 5 wives with several concubines but our mother dared not complain because it was either you stay and deal with it or call it quits.Sad and shame indeed.So when though I am a man I will never defend any Ghanaian man or African man when it comes to womanizing.What is even sad is that our women will see that somebody has 2 or 3 wives but will still get in to be wife number 4.Sad indeed.Especially so called local contractors they are granted big loans only to use half for the contract and the rest for kick backs,marriages and buy more cars.Sad indeed.Take a former contractor at Winneba called Acquaah he had 10 wives,Swedru contractor Kwame Ayiah(K.E & Sons) had 10 wives and several concubines,Poku Transport of Kumasi over 10 wives etc.so this if the Otumfuo is moving with the Kumawuhemaa I am not surprised and nothing to write home about because that is the bad omen the oldies left with us.Even our Pastors are doing it with other women in church and end up divorcing their wives and marrying with their concubines in church but they will have verses to always justify their moves.Recently a Pastor's divorced wife was complaining bitterly how he left her for another woman in the church and how these Pastors are snatching other wives in the church from their husbands.Sad indeed.So these stories are not new in Ghana.
