Given all that we have come to know from the Woyome case and other cases, I would not be surprised if this AG or somebody from her department had not already leaked Ghana's arguing points for a pittance with the Ivoirians. And guess what, Spio Garbrah's wife, is an Ivorian. Head or tail we have been sold already at the high seas; the NDC and their AG are just putting up appearances. These fools do not care a hoot about Ghana, except their stomachs.

Yes it is Ghana's territory but just try and see what is going the Ivorians went in for the president of the International court of justice who is also from France...The main company trying to start oil drilling at that territory is from France. I do have some hope in the team Ghana have judging from the Mr. Mensah's record. He has experience in this sort of cases. In 2010 he was the counsel for Bangladesh in the dispute concerning delimitation of the maritime boundary between Bangladesh and Myanmar in the Bay of Bengal. Another good thing in Ghana's favor is the equidistance method stated in this article..It was the same method used in the Bangladesh and Myanmar but don't do be surprise if Ghana loses considering the powers at work.

The French persuaded the biased European court of arbitration to rule in favor of Cameroon against Nigeria in its dispute over the oil rich Bakassi peninsula. Ivory Coast will absolutely win. It is unconscionable that Ghana has agreed to an arbitration settlement. You don't win a territorial dispute against a French speaking African country. Ghana will lose because France is a European power. Ghana is repeating the same mistake Nigeria made when it allowed the European crooks to mediate its dispute with Cameroon over the Bakassi peninsula. Nigeria lost. Ghana will lose. Why do we have a military? Ghana allowed Burkina Faso to build a dam on the Volta River when it could have threatened military and embarked on a military action. Ivory Coast's military is weak. If anything this when the military must be used. But the cowardly policy makers in this country have given a precious resource of this beloved country away without a fight. If we can't go to war over this issue, then the military should be dismantled. Why should Ghana bind itself to an arbitration whose outcome is predictably adversarial?

Even in nations, like USA, at times, mayors and governors, hired out side lawyers to handle cases on behalf them thereby circumvent ING State and Cities attorneys. That doesn't mean State and Cities attorney not good enough to represent them but they alot works so their lawyers might represent them adequately. Ghana can do likewise!
