First of all, thank you Dr. Nat Nkrumah for bringing this matter up to the light again. I was a teenager when this happened in Ghana and every bit of information about this man of God's murder leads to Jerry John Rawlings and his team of PNDC. Like you said, the pastor was a torn in their flesh due to the bloody and dark activities of the PNDC. Jerry couldn't fathom the power of God coming after him and the rebuking of the Holy Spirit thru the pastor so he thought killing him will bring him peace but it was to no avail.
May the Lord have mercy on Jerry and the blood he has on his hands for the account of the innocent lives taken during his tenure in office. Jerry knows he had a hand in it but I believe he will find it very difficult to testify. May the favor of God befall upon him for all the murderers he has committed so as to be saved for the rest of the time he has left on this earth. Jerry had the power to do whatever he wanted as long as God allowed him and the entire Ghanaian citizens were afraid of him to give any remarks concerning his atrocities. But thank God that he has used you, Dr. Nat Nkrumah to give Jerry Rawlings a chance to comment about the death of the powerful man of God, Pastor Akwasi Amoako.

Apart from Bismark, RAWLINGS caused the abduction of THREE HIGH COURT JUDGES and a RETIRED MILITARY OFFICER.

RAWLINGS went onto the national radio to deny his involvement but investigations revealed that RAWLINGS HANDS WERE TAINTED WITH BLOOD OF THOSE INNOCENT PEOPLE.

your DAD also killed but you have seen the light through GOD and are questioning the rationale behind the killings.

As Ghanaians, we have a big problem when some people get excited about the death of innocent citizens. I've pointed things out on this site many time that it's wrong for Rawlings and his AFRC/P-NDC gang to have killed innocent people, yet whenever the topic pops up for discussion, some folks begin to spew garbage; they're just happy people have been killed in the so-called June 4 and December 31 Revolution.

In those dark days in Ghana's history, many innocent Ghanaians were murdered; those Army Generals and the Justices aside, many Soldiers or those I the security services were slaughtered like chicken. Many managed to escape--many whose numbers, only God can reveal--through our borders to foreign lands. Some still believe that Ghana isn't quite safe for them to return. It may seem or sound stupid, until in God's own time, people will come out and tell their story. Many had hoped ex-Prez. Kuffour's National Reconciliation would be the platform for such revelations; it wasn't as the whole exercise was meant to heal wounds. Kuffour didn't have the luxury to engage in any long dialogue on revenge or payback; he just wanted to focus on the task ahead in rebuilding Ghana and move on. But many felt disappointed!

Rev. Amoako's blood is still crying for justice; the Tagoe Sisters were lucky to have escaped assassination, by God's won grace although it may seem the murderers got their wishes fulfilled! Rev. Amoako did no crime; he only alerted gov't the dangers that lie ahead, when people were being harassed, disgraced in public, like stripping women naked in the streets--"3y3 hann; 3y3 kanea" while some folks stood by helpless and in shock!

What the NDC don't understand or seem oblivious about it that they'll answer to all those crimes that they committed against innocent Ghanaians most of them Akan tribes people. Judgement day await!

Apart from the murders, there was also tribalism in high places; all Akans who held top gov't or public positions were removed and replaced by other tribes people; Akan tribes people who owned businesses were became targets. Their property and businesses were confiscated or destroyed, by AFRC/P-NDC gov't.

Now the facts are trickling in; nobody can run away from facts or reality! These are the very people who preached about probity and accountability. Now it's become clear that the revolution had a hidden agenda which was to destroy the so-called elite, mostly Akans--they would say Ashantis--and somehow neutralise them or rendering them powerless when their livelihood is taken away. They were accused of corruption. Let's compare the kind of corruption that's going on right now in high gov't circles to those that the AFRC/P-NDC talked about. They talked about a "house cleaning exercise" back then.

We could see the soldiers from the stands of the stadium. After the game the soldier went berserk making everyone raise their hands and forcing people into tiny spots while the streets are emtied of traffic.
