CP payment for no work was 94m Euro.

CP presented a claim that his Anwhiankwanta project was terminated.

The project was never terminated. CP just stopped work when Kufuor came to power.

When Kufuor left he presented a claim based on termination by Kufuor admininstration.

Mills , Mahama and the entire cabinet looked on and Betty Mould approved to pay 94m Euro ---$120m --500m Cedis just like that.

They never consulted the Road authorities. They never consulted Kufuor administration.

Corrupt Goodluck Jonathan is gone.

John Mahama the super corrupt thief is next.

The way things are done can raise suspicions even if there is nothing wrong going on and I believe well educated who are well trained for the task is preferable.

A stupid statement from a silly man! The task of adding votes up is a literate exercise, yes, but that isn't what makes elections fair and free of malpractice. Yes, the collation of votes must be accurate, yes, but there are literates who cannot get basic additions right. Ghana's difficulty in her last election came from the fact that Kufuor's party's candidate would be king. The presidency had been foretold to the NPP candidate; the presidency had been delivered before election day in a revelation to the NPP and its leaders were at our Supreme Court to insist upon the mere matter of their entitlement. Kufuor should stop being ridiculous at his age. Elections and the integrity of elections depend on the the integrity of electoral officers and the conduct of those officers in collaboration with the the parties whose interest is being served at those elections. It has little to do with the level of education of election-supervision officials. The best-educated and the most highly educated Ghanaians aren't the most honest Ghanaians or the most patriotic Ghanaians or the most selfless of us. Why didn't Kufuor reject the two victories the EC delivered to him as flawed by the illiteracy of election-conducting officers at the time?

All of you guys who do not agree with what he said are just being silly. "travel and see" so the adage goes. Mr K4 has the opportunity to compare, you don't, and he is suggesting ways to bring improvement to our future elections. The people that have lived and worked in the civilized world for many years can see many of the mistakes being made by this government, they can see the stupidity of the people living on one of the most fertile lands in the world and yet hungry, they can see your inability to speak the truth at all times etc. Please be humble and listen to sound advise especially when it comes from experienced person like K4.

Well constructed rebuttal my brother. Malpractices seen or suspected at the polling stations, is only a manifestation of the deep seated problem of power grabbing in our society. Lets start with the economic makeup of Ghana. Till date, the government is the biggest employer and also has the means to keep private business(a dynamic and alternative employment source) at bay. Ascension to power thus means an acquisition of a very powerful means to enriching one's self. Keep in mind that poverty chips away at one's integrity, especially under dire circumstances. If much is expected of the poor villager, what about the ones who are well paid to carry out government business, yet remain unrepentant about their corrupt posture ?

Mr Kuffour is definitely wrong on this one, because there are just as many corrupt educated people as there are illiterate ones. He must also remember that his zero corruption initiative fell by the way side even though his cabinet was full of well educated people. In the end he himself was culpable in the corruption that permeated the halls of power during his reign as president of Ghana. May I also fairly add that his government did lift us from the doldrums of poverty acceptance to one of success.

Yes Nigeria did well to hold it together. It is almost the first time an incumbent has accepted defeat without completing their full term.

Nigeria with a population of 170 million people and only 56 million voters has a voter turn up of only 50 percent.

First, this truly reflect a good voters register. 33 percent of the total population were registered to vote and out of this number, close to 28 million, 50 percent voted.

NOW COMPARE THAT TO GHANA

A population of 25 million people has 15 million registered voters, that is 60 percent of the qualified voters registered to vote. If you count qualified voters who failed to register and even assigned a conservative 10 percent, that means 70 percent of Ghana population were qualified to vote. That also means Ghanaians above the age of 18 formed 70 percent of the population.
That is not possible.

If you look at the age distribution of Ghana population based on 2010 census, children from 17 years down was 49 percent, so where did we get the 70 percent from?

Out of the 15 million registered voters in Ghana, close to 12 million turned out to vote in 2012, that is 80 percent voter turnout.

What this shows is that our voters register is overblotted voters due to underage people registered to

The truth is that, K4 knows too well that NPP cannot win elections on its own. With the biometric machine, it will be hard for NPP to easily win power in Ghana, especially with Akuffu Addo.

Former President J.A. Kufour has shown once again why being educated is never synonymous with being wise. For it was under Kufour Ghana sold Ghana Telecom; it was the power of telecommunication and technology that helped Nigeria to carry out its so-called respectable election and results.

If ex-President Kufour and his advisers knew what mattered in meaningful development of a nation they sure did not show us during their watch. It was during the Kufour administration Ghana spent an estimate of US$50 million to US$100 million on Ghana@50 while some of Ghana’s elementary and prep schools were being organized under trees. Under his watch some school facilities did not have toilet facilities and or flooring fit for human occupancy. Under his watch district hospitals so under equipped did not see any needless expenditure for improvements because they mainly catered for Ghana's poor and down and out folks.

To stand somewhere to lecture Ghana’s EC on best practices and procedures of electoral processes by a former president who greatest achievement by any measure is the elevation of some of Ghana's terrorists and strident elitist as icons for a few tribal supporters shows the level of stupidity or educated but unintelligent character that contributes to the lack of progress in Ghana. Would Kufour have approved a budget of US$250+ million for the EC if they had requested for a nation-wide 10-Gig optic fiber network across the country in anticipation of modern systems or would some in Ghana, especially NPP members have balked at the very request?

Let's face it no modern nation has become an ideal democratic nation because none that have tried have sought ways to improve upon existing democracies practiced in Europe or the Americas; we're copycats without a clue what is good for us in our own right.

It looks as if something fishy is going on in Ghana. My guess is that the voter register is not credible. How can we have over 50% of the population as voters? This means we do not even have a future as a nation. Does this happen in other countries? I think it's only in Ghana that we have voters exceeding half the population of the country. No wonder some are asking for new voter register. Opposition parties must insist on new register else they must forget about winning elections. The incumbent knows what is in the register, hence her hesitant in going for fresh and new register. Ghana's voter register does not reflect reality.
