  I don't trust the guy. They are just serving their name in history even though they have not done anything concrete for their people.

  Friend, you are not being reasonable at all. How do you expect Annan to bite the hand that feeds him? The post of Chancellor of the University of Ghana that Annan holds is a govt position. Even though it was Kufuor who appointed Annan, the current NDC government has the power to remove him.
  
  So why at all do you want Annan to criticize the NDC government when he is getting a good allowance, travel abroad, chauffeured car, free gas, free phone etc,etc?

  Democracy is inevitable in our quest to develop Africa and make her a place worth living.
  The developed countries only need our natural resources so they can widen the socio-economic gap between us.They detest our presence amongst them.Hence all the draconian immigration laws.But they have forgotten all the pilfering of our human and natural resources in the time of old which gave them the impetus to develop,and which are attributable to our lagging in socio-economic development.
  It is time to eschew our selfishness which makes us corrupt and yield to their whims and caprices.If Africa resolves to refuse accepting bribes in order to sell the continent out to the multinational corporations,we can also develop one day.
  If all the stolen money deposited into their banks and later recycled as loans with cutthroat interest rates are kept in our banks and employed for our economic development,we will be better-off.
  If we recognize that Africa is our God given land and so whether you are a Bantu,an Akan,a Fulani or whatever,regardless of a tribe's numerical strength,each tribe or individual has the inalienable right granted to us by our creator to live on the continent in absolute peace and tranquility.There should be mutual respect and affection among all Africans as displayed when we journey to the developed countries,the African Union in its most formidable existence!At its best behavior!If we can transfer this climaxed mutual respect and affection when we go back home,there will be no ethnic cleansing anywhere in Africa again.Jamais!
  When we learn to live together and not think that the majority tribes have been ordained by the creator to determine the fate of the minority as happened in Rwanda,the gun sellers will be out of business,and that will mean more peace.
  Ethnic cleansing is so DUMB.From an economic perspective,every human being consumes one thing or another.So butchering one another amounts to reducing the size of the local market and stifling consumption of goods and services and perpetuating poverty on the continent.
  We have been in the wilderness of socio-economic development for far too long.It is time to wise up and develop so we can erase the abject poverty on the continent.
