You cannot show the President up. Even if you are right, you should do that not in the presence of others. Amidu should have complained to President Mills in privacy.

Mr Awonoor advising Mr Amidu to write a letter of apology was not a bad idea but I think there was an ulterior motive behind it. How did Bature get a copy of that letter? Did Awonoor make a copy of that letter for himself and others?

So what is the big deal if he wrote letter of apology?

Though I disagree with Martin Amidu on his approach on the Woyome case, especially his attacks on government and other personalities but it is equally petty for NDC to respond to him in kind. What will NDC gain by releasing this apology to the public? The letter has nothing new to add to or take away from the Woyome saga. Amidu is destroying himself by being vengeful and I believe NDC is doing the same by seeking to destroy him. In the end, there will only be losers and no winner. It's sad but Amidu deserves better even if he has made some mistakes in his approach.

Those who go to Equity must go with clean hands. Mr. Amidu does have a point in challenging the dubious payment made to Woyome and all that point he does have the approval and support of all decent minded people. However he must conduct himself with decorum and sometimes its about stating your case coherently and devoid of vernom and animosity. In this case, its gone from a noble crusade to assume some vengeful motives and become unnecessarily vexatious.

The merit of his case is being adversely burdened with aside and personal confrontation. Moreover to insist all along that he did nothing untoward to warrant his dismissal cannot now be deemed to be the case given this revelation. I hope it is only a slight blemish which will not cause reputational damage and detract from the merit of his case, and perhaps he will do well to refine his advocacy skills; the combative approach can be stressful and painful to endure.

Just yesterday, there was a story about the Supreme Court and the Chief Justice with her constituted panel, expressly impressing on Woyome and his Counsel not to flout the judgment of the highest court of the land with impunity, but to pay back Ghana's stolen monies by the Mahama-led NDC gov't and party-Woyome-Lithur and Co, or face the full weight and might of the Court.
Citizen Vigilante Martin Alamisi Benz Kaiser Amidu true to his word and pursuit of such a kleptocratic aberration, interestingly, was in Court to ensure that his pursuit of the Mahama-led NDC gov't's thievery of Ghanaian taxpayers money together with their family and friends looting brigade was upheld and enforced through and through to the letter.
That is passion. That is integrity. That is an true patriot. That is a true Ghanaian who would broker no nonsense when it comes to corrupt, kleptomaniac, looting tendencies of a Mahama-led NDC gov't with his horde of thieves consistently and persistently intransigent in the looting of our dear country Ghana into the ground.
What was this purported apology for? Was it to say that the position for which that purported emotional outburst was occasioned which is the looting of Ghana's money by the Mahama-led NDC gov't of thieves with Woyome and Lithur and Co was wrong and of no effect? Was it to say that, the thievery was justified and there was no need to go to court for the prosecution and reversal of same? Was the purported apology for misconduct to say that Citizen Vigilante Martin Alamisi Benz Kaiser Amidu erred when he took that position against the thievery by the Mahama-led NDC gov't of thieves with it's family and friends looting brigade?
Bature should spare Ghanaians this tomfoolery and the Mahama-led NDC gov't of thieves should spare Ghanaians this childishness, stop looting Ghana's money and return Ghana's looted monies, period.

I feel he made the apology because of his emotional over-reaction not necessary that he showed insubordination or insulted Prof. If your father or mother wrongs you, you the child still needs to render apology and that is exactly the guy did. The fact is now clear that Wayome or whosoever collected this money at the help of NDC people in ministerial positions. Gbevlo-Lartey, Betty Mould-Iddrisu, her deputy etc. are all guilty of assisting the thief. They are doing everything to destroy Mr. Amidu but the truth is there for generations to know. I wish that historians at our universities will spend time and write about Betty Mould-Iddrisu and Mr. Amidu so that their grand children and great great grandchildren will come to know how each one of them assisted or destroy Ghana by the selfless service or greediness.
