How much money is lost at the ports into individual pockets and how much do politicians steal? Are those not worth more than what we are borrowing from the IMF? Ask yourself if it was even necessary to go there? The IMF knows we are plain stupid and they are just being diplomatic by giving us something "small" to make us not feel too bad. How much money do Ghanaians in the diaspora alone bring into the country every year? Ghana is simply being ruled by idiots and the sooner we realize that the better!

None of the plans outlined will bring an iota of change to the people of the nation.

Just look at the vague terminology - domestic arrears, primary expenditure, mocroeconomic stability and so on.

They are just names which mean nothing because they target nothing.

The solution to all the problems is gripping the known criminals in a vice grip and getting all of them to cough up the loot they have obtained thus far. What is the point of pouring water into a leaking vessel?

I feel sorry for this Finance Minister he appears to be in the midst of a very hard-core gang of looters, con artists and drug dealers.

If the IMF is really serious to bail Ghana out of economic disaster, then the $918 million should only be released after the elections. We all know that even in developed democracies, during their final year in office, governments concentrate all their efforts on impending elections to the neglect of any improvements to the economy and development of the nation. Releasing the bailout funds now will serve us no good purpose: the IMF people know this all too well. Holding back on the funds will encourage all the competing parties to double their efforts knowing all too well that whoever wins the elections will have funds to help their efforts in its first few months in office. A word to the wise is in the North!

WE COULD HAVE RAISED THIS MONEY INTERNAL IF AMNESTY HAD BEEN GRANTED TO THE STATE LOOTERS TO BRING BACK ILL GOTTEN GAINS FROM BANKS ABROAD BACK TO GHANA.

Well done IMF for the bailout. But the problem is that the government will not use the money for purpose for which he went for loan. It's getting to elections period in Ghana and the NDC is going to use the money for that purpose just to win the election. Ghanaians will suffer the same fate that prompted the bailout. You cannot trust anybody in the government. My suggestion is that, a committee be formed from all the opposition parties to monitor the use of the bailout. Quarterly auditing should be made to check it and the findings be made public. NDC government is not helping the country and its citizens but sharing the money they they went for, for the development of the country among themselves. I suggest, IMF should also monitor the usage of the loan.

1. Is it going to help employment.
2. Restore electricity.
3. Improve the living condition of Ghanaians.
4. School feeding programs.
5. Any improvement in NHIS.
6. Is petrol prices coming down in view of reduction in world market price?
7. Are Ghanaian better off with this IMF program?
Can the Govt explain these issues arising from this program, please.
