If Ndoum did declared his assets. Wouldn't that have been wise to cite the example of this noble man than this old General. Who brutalized his people in the 80s?
Yes, because induom is a trail-blazer in many respects.
No, because Induom did not become a President. HKP's article would not carry the impact it does carry, if it were about Induom. It is enough that his article commends ...

What is the point of declaring assets when at the end of one's mandate no assets are declared. Mindless symbolism is not the way to go. We should have strong institutions that are able to bring corrupt officials to book.

Get real. You think if you use your sibling's name and later want to collect it and he refuses it will be easy for you? You would have distrbuted your stolen wealth, instead of keeping it alone.
There are some folks who put properties under their mom's name to avoid public scrutiny. I don't see the mothers appropriating such properties. Ghanaians are cleverer than you think.
Very good point, Ibn Batuta . Moreover, since politics has become such a "lucrative business", politicians must be compelled by law to declare their assets before they vie for office and YEARLY thereafter.

Declaration of assets shd not b ltd to politicians. I think there is a lot of rot in our public tertiary institutions and it must even b mandatory for VCs/Rectors and others to declare their assets.
