There is no excuse for a judge to take bribe and not to discharge his/her duties fairly. Judges have the law solidly behind them and by this, they can discharge their duties without any interference whatsoever. Those who influence judges to pervert justice did not take the judicial oath with judges and hence they have nothing to lose. They will always try to influence judges anyway.
If a judge does not know that at least one of the parties whose case he/she sits on would like to bribe him to obtain a favorable ruling, then he/she is not qualified to be a judge. If those who are sworn-in to be judges are indeed qualified to be judges, they will always remember their oath and discharge their duties fairly in accordance with the law and their conscience; they will not allow themselves to be shamefully influenced to turn justice upside down.

Some times when I read these articles of advice I want to vomit because some of our judges are just so corrupt and openly so with no shame. The legal system has become an avenue for bribe collection and corruption with no real efficient controls and checks on the way judges rule. Many of the judges are abusing their position and power in a very immoral and dishonest way. Most people give up because they get fed up with the bias and lawlessness in the courts. No point just advising and talking without concrete actions and steps to address complaints and to stop the corruption in the judiciary.

The judiciary has disappointed Ghana greatly.If some of them can live within their means and refuse to accept white envelopes and bearded goats,our Ghana can nib corruption in the bud.The judiciary is equally blamable for the emboldened stealing by some politicians and public servants.
They are undeterred because they can offer bribes to the judges.
Since we do not have the means to adequately cater for their needs financially(not an excuse to accept bribe anyway),why not allow those who qualify to moonlight as attorneys in their free periods for supplemental income?
There is corruption everywhere including the financial giants.The difference is how it is tackled.Formidable law enforcement and a judiciary intolerant of and unyielding to bribery and corruption make the difference.
If the lady Chief Justice is REALLY concerned about the stones being cast at her enclave,then she needs to work assiduously to separate the wheat from the chaff.Her periodic sporadic lamentations are not the answers.
Attempting to dry up the stream of white envelopes and bearded goats which has flowed from time immemorial j,undoubtedly,an onerous endeavor.But it is the only available option to polish her citadel and give it a befitting image as commanded by the US judiciary,for the restoration of the dissipated confidence.

Madam Chief Justice should stop behaving as if she is in a dream world. The judges in her outfit are so morally weak and corruptible that it is not surprising that even she has to even advise others not to influence the judges. By her own pleadings to others it is clear that her judges are morally and mentally weak in the face of money. Why does she not deal with putting in place a rapid system to address complaints and clear violations and abuse of the judicial process by the judges who are using the system to enrich themselves with untenable bias and manipulations.
