When people have to vote for selfless people to represent them in parliament and for a competent person to lead the country, they rather engage in tribal discrimination resulting in bad choice. The large number of unemployed youth in the area is good news for bad politicians who would want to exchange their votes for gifts, and others who would rally them for lawless activities. They would therefore like to keep the status quo. If you can barely afford two square meals a day and you go about shouting ''ede be k3k3'', then there is something seriously wrong with you. I won't mention other problems. Just use your head, and change your situation, because non of the people you collect gifts from every four years before you vote for, can change your situation for you. YOUR VOTE IS NOT THAT CHEAP. Remember ''DAVID GBUUMI'' did not change anything in your life for the better.

Osu lands do not extend to Aburi. This guy is about causing commotion in Ghana. The Guans should claim their lands from the Gas. The Osus should just go back to Alata (Nigeria) and leave us in peace.

I always keep saying our GA chiefs are the most useless chief in the country, lack of developments,lack of foresight, marrying many wives, dating teenagers, lack of education, selling land to multiple buyers oh my people.

The challenge is what the authorities would make of the idea after so many years of stagnation.If nothing gets done the next generation will feel rather hard done by lack of inertia from the fathers. As it is a lot has already been lost already and we need to wake up from the idiocy.

Just substitute 'Osu' and the name of the Chief with any any other region in Ghana and tell me what you'll hear. Why on earth is it that it's only when the same words come from a particular section of Ghanaians that it becomes 'ethnocentric'?

The AMA is not coping well with the whole of Accra so as, e.g. done in the UK, the local councils should be upgraded as County Councils and given the power to raise their own local taxes like property rates for their own refuse collection and road works! Osu as a commercial area should then be able to raise enough revenue for their own requirements!!

I think what the Osu Chief didn't explain well is that Osu has several villages and communities that extend all the way to the Aburi foothills. If you check, you will find that villages like Abokobi, Gbele and others located even closer to Aburi are Osu villages. Anyway, the Chief's point is a good one. I am sure the amount of tax revenues generated from Oxford Street alone is quite substantial.
