What happened in Nigeria could not be replicated in Ghana because despite similar economic conditions of corruption, power shortages, mismanagement, etc, the two environment differ. For example, no Boko Haram in Ghana, no merger of opposition parties, no defection by a former president and founding member of the incumbent party, no defections of incumbent party regional ministers (governors), no breach of promise not to contest for a second term by Mahama, Muslim votes would not massively go to the challenger, etc. So apart from the ages, NPP will be deceiving themselves that what happened in Nigeria could be replicated in Ghana. If they want to win the presidency in 2016, they should forget about Buhari's victory and concentrate on strategies that will secure them the victory. Buhari had a unique opportunity that will not be available to Nana Akufo-Addo because NDC is not a divided party. In fact, it is clear that Mahama will go unopposed.
