Sometimes it is hard to believe if these young generation really know what they are talking about. If they really want to charge Nana Addo, and for that matter former NPP government appointees for using their official vehicles beyond permissible periods, even if their so-called allegations hold any water, they should first go and suit The Chairman of the erstwhile PNDC government, Papa J.J.Rawlings, for annexing home 19 official vehicles after living office. And then ask him why he did that after killing his fellow 8 prominent ex-heads of state, for corruption. If they are able to do this, then they can even think of whether Nana is corrupt or not, let alone taking him to court.
By the way, what group Ghanaians are they representing? Let Ghana think, NDC boot-lickers.

Akufo-Addo's supporters can characterize this call on him to do the right thing by paying up 'Equalization' or whatever. If there is evidence to prove the allegations, he must succumb to Justice and simply pay up. We cannot engage in partiality to bring the Laws to impose on Oteng Adjei and others, and expect that Akufo-Addo, in a similar situation, would not be hit by the same Laws. It does not matter whether or not the allegations leveled against Akufo-Addo were made by die-hard NDC apparatchiks. After all, he, Akufo-Addo, is very much aware that his side and his opponents have always been looking for such foibles by the other to jump on for thwarting the opponent. Equalization is not an excuse to be let off a crime. Period!

Akufo-Addo is not above the Law. And in fact, he should have known better, having served as the Nation's top prosecutor before. As an Attorney-General, he ought to set example for others to follow, when it comes to obeying the Nation's Laws.

If Akufo-Addo and his supporters think there is nothing wrong in cheating the Nation the way that this allegation suggests, then he is surely not fit to be the Nation's President and must immediately abandon his aspirations to become one.

And if, indeed, Akufo-Addo did keep those cars illegally, Ghanaians must seriously re-think making him our next President. That culpability of his must tell us how indifferent Akufo-Addo could be to the wave of corruption drowning the Nation.

Folks must refrain from attacking all Citizens demanding honesty and fairness in our system. If anyone resorts to assaults of any kind on those demanding that Akufo-Addo submit himself to Justice in this allegation, that person would be displaying grotesque hypocrisy and must be ashamed of that behavior.

The Courts must be bold to mete out Justice rightly. No reserved favoritism for Akufo-Addo in this case. And I hope there would be no terms of limitation invoked to nullify the allegations. And even if any such terms of limitation are applied to this case to set Akufo-Addo free, it would still leave a heavy cloud of eligibility over Akufo-Addo's head in his bid for our Presidency. Ghana must be paid her due. Enough stealing from her.

This is not a political issue. It is one of public accountability and irrespective of one's station in life or political affiliation, the laws of the country must be respected. Any remedy due the state must be forthcoming.
