CPP rather broke away from the UGCC -- so the term matemeho should rather be used for CPP, not the UGCC. Also, there is no party as the UGCC in our time; also, remember that Nkrumah's CPP came out of the UGCC

Yes you're right, other people have moved from the CPP to join/form other parties knowing very well that political association have free entry and exit policy. One is not forcibly bound to stay in one particular party so these people left as a matter of choice. They left relinquishing all rights they had in CPP.

Third and I want you to be frank with yourself: Which other party apart from the CPP has been petitioning, demonstrating and suing in the courts for their assets to be released? Is it NDC or GCPP or PNC or PPP or NPP or Akua Donkor Party?

No other party has the legal right or claim to the buildings except a party called CPP. If anyone wants to have the right to use the buildings then they should become members of CPP, its as simple as that. We dont need to spend one second on this, there are other serious issues Ghanaians can engage themselves in. I hope this helps.

If he is referring to individual assets that were confiscated he should extend it to all previously confiscated assets by all regimes including the NDC antecedent party the AFRC and PNDC. Is he laying the legal grounds for another round of judgement debts?

It would be a travesty of justice if, indeed, the so-called assets were returned to the CPP because I do remember the findings of the Jibowu Commission which found the CPP guilty for syphoning the farmers money through the Cocoa Marketing Board to run the party and, by extension, acquiring its assets. The assets seizure has nothing to do with anybody, including the President, as it was in line with the findings of the Jibowu Commission and the wish of the people of Ghana. Or the President is doing thus because his Dad was in Nkrumah's government and benefited from that government just like those members of the delegation of Council of Elders who paid a courtesy call on him. Please think and care for the people rather than appeacing members of the present CPP to get their vote in the coming electiobs next year. This is not a plsce ti cast insults but rather a place to exchange of ideas to kearm from.

If Mahama is contemplating the deconfiscation of CPP assets then he must give it a very serious thought. A mis-step can be very disastrous and he'll never be able to forgive himself. They are leading him like a lamb to the slaughter before he exits power. Is this really the legacy he desires?

Ghana was very rich when he came to power but left with no a penny in the bank. he gave our money to South Africa, Kenya, and many more who has come back to repay our lost state monies. Indeed Nkrumah seize power and had the opportunity but by then Ghana lacked the know how of administration hence why we lost mid way in his reign.

Who are the person or persons who have the deeds to these properties and if they do why haven't they resorted to the courts?? And what about all the other people whose properties were also confiscated over the years??? You should be careful, Mr Shallow Minded President, before you open a can of worms! Better let sleeping dogs lie and offer some form of monetary compensation if really due any individual or Groups!!
