  Well if this is true then why not put it to the scientific community, patent itand make it in the form of cod liver oil for children to take. Who knows you could win a Nobel prize for that. This is a typical African, they discover something but not take it forward and leave it for the whiteman to research into it and make it their own. You can make Ghana proud if it found to be true.

  The physician you are referring to in this article is a food scientist???? I noticed that this individual also posted a cure for Diabetes with coconut oil. I am not doubting the curative abilities of coconut oil, however his comments on ASD are ridiculous and another gentleman, has been supporting these findings and is the new guru to reach out to for advice. There is no cure for ASD which is a neurological disorder that also encompasses many other illnesses. If you have a child who is Autistic, they should be followed by a paediatrician and parents referred to their local Autism association or look for direction through the National Autism Society. Mr. Akotia and Mr. Food scientist, my son has ASD and I noticed something was "different" within 24 hours following birth. With respect to breast feeding, I did this for 3 years and did not find it helpful at all. I am emotionally and physically exhausted from devoting almost 18 hours of every day, consoling, nurturing, guiding and supporting my son. The elementary and secondary system failed him so we placed him in a private school where he is flourishing. My son is now 19 and is in mainstream school reaching grades in the high 70's and low 80's without any accommodations. He will be graduating in another year and both his father and I never imagined that our son would go to College or University however, he has informed us that he hopes to go to law school after getting his B,A.! By the way, Dr.Kiyamah, my son hates coconuts but we do make sure to give him high doses of Vitamin D, C and B.daily.....Good luck with your research!

  Dear All, I tried giving pure coconut oil to my sixteen year old autistic teenage son. Within a week, I noticed tremendous change in his energy level. His continuous pacing/running and incessant self talking could go on for four to five hours. His arms will be flailing frantically. He couldn't sleep at night. Long hours in shower with water running and curses if asked to come out. I am confused.
