When we started school the very smart and brilliant guys were made to read science. The less brilliant ones opted for the arts. Then after school these arts students will go and read law and then begin to call themselves the learned ones. They will then turn around to manage and lord it over the sharp brain ones as we used to call them.

The question is can these "talkatives" really help solve the myriad of problems facing a third world country like Ghana. Can they put food on the table in real terms. Engineers and Technocrats have been relegated to the background and therefore Ghana will continue to suffer.I hear in China those calling the shots are the Technocrats. It is the exact opposite of what is happening in most Third World Countries. Go read DONDOLOGY and top it up with a certificate in Law and you are hailed as the most exalted one. Africa has a long way to go.

Some prominent "lawyers" have no law school mates. And when given the position of AG he was prefering wrong charges. For exale, in one instance, the case read: XYZ against Ghana instead against the State. In another case where a criminal was caught with human parts, Nana being a layman, charged him with murder!

Realising that this arrogant man was a square peg in a round role, Kufuor immediately removed him from that post to save the country from further embarassment.

Frankly, most Ghanaians are so disillusioned about the judiciary they don't even bother to go to court these days.
