I don't know about the Arab Africans, but the black African is just something. I have asked myself many times, why the Whiteman in spite of their different countries can unite while we can never unite. We are our own enemies. And you imagine when one arrives from a trip to the Hall of Arrival at the Kotoka International Airport, the whites are better treated and handled by the Immigration Officers there than the blacks are. Why? Why? This must stop if at all we are to progress. Anyone who has suggestions for the way forward should come to our aid.

When Ghanaians travel abroad, including myself, they don't report and register themselves with the Ghana Embassies abroad. But as soon as they find themselves in problem/trouble, then they want the Embassy to come to their aid. Most Ghana Embassies don't know the number of citizens in their host countries. Same scenario has occurred in Libya, Egypt, Liberia, Ivory Coast and now South Africa. Ghanaians should therefore be educated on the importance of registering with their Embassies when they travel abroad so that in cases of emergency, they can be located and helped.

I have stayed in various countries and the bad story is better than the good stories to tell. We have bad attitudes and work ethics .

Our black brothers benefited immensely from other African Countries in the struggle against apartheid.The liberation struggle received enormous diplomatic, military and intelligence support from the likes of Dr Kwame Nkrumah.It is an interesting spectacle hearing of this why because South Africans even in Ghanaian institutions in Ghana showed some xenophobic tendencies and dislike for West Africans.They never trust Nigerians and Ghanaians often with the impression that West Africans are cheats.But the truth is that the average West African is only smarter in grabbing job opportunities and doing business.The presence of other black nationals particularly West Africans have been a big plus for Black South Africans.The wise Black South Africans know this and are happy to learn from West Africans about how to deal with the white man.You cannot blame the still naive Black South African with a complex and phobia of the apartheid white supremacist because of their experience.The wealth and economy of that Country is still controlled by the minority white.I don't think South African Indians are part of this xenophobic attacks because they are smarter in grabbing business opportunities that come their way.Black South Africans inferiority complex against whites are causing them emotional trauma with the smarter and successful West Africans in the business world being the victims of emotional transfer.The evidence to this was when a class mate from Botswana told me Whites are far more superior and intelligent than Blacks.She added God made whites special and we blacks have no choice but to be subservient and play second fiddle.The situation in Botswana as far as racial segregation is concerned was never different from South Africa.But this sort of unfortunate mentality of morbid inferiority complex and phobia for the white man is not helping our Black brothers and sisters in South Africa.Black South Africans should be bold and reasonable to politically push for reforms that will ensure equity in distribution of resources and utilization.The lack of jobs for example is not the making of the Ghanaian or Nigerian.It is simply because they lack the qualification and skill in most instances as a result of a defunct educational system that still favours whites.The apartheid crack down by white supremacist forced particularly men to be denied or disinterested in education.It is not for nothing their women relatively are more highly educated and hold higher positions than their male counterparts.But there is an opportunity for every Black South African to catch up in educational and economic opportunities in a new democratic South Africa instead of lousily sleeping and turning around to blame the hard working West African for their problems.
