The streams and rivers which hitherto serves as drinking resource in the villages is now heavily polluted with toxic chemicals as result of your criminally led government issuing licences to illegal crook Chinese and India foreign miners to destroy our once envious environment.

From what I know, sea water is only used by countries who do not have enough fresh water to drink. From the above comments, people are still experiencing water shortages within the areas mahama claims have water.

Cape Coast have the Pra at Twiso Praso close by. A lot of fresh waters flow freely into the sea.There are also inland water bodies all over the country. The problem Ghana faces is the destruction of these fresh water bodies. Stopping Galamsey is the solution not desalination plants. Waste of money! Allow fresh water into the sea and spend money to recover the fresh water. stupid project. Singapore had no fresh water

Where I live, water runs two times a week. Did you read that? Twice if we are lucky! Water access and use are two different things. Having a pipe installed does not guarantee water flow.

On the the Kufuor jerry cans, has it occurred to you that perhaps people cannot even afford the jerry cans anymore because of their poor living conditions? Could it be that people are using other cans? Correlation does not mean causation, surely you know that. Please provide numbers of this "drastic reduction" in yellow cans you speak of and tell us where in Ghana people are experiencing improved water facilities.
