Whether the state subsidies their trip or not to me it is waste of funds. Some people even travels to Mecca every year. It's believed the get juju for money from there, how true no one can tell.

The annual Hajj by Moslems - which include members of Boko Haram, Al Shabaab, Al-Qaeda, Islamic State, Taliban etc - is nothing more than a trip to get more power and blessings from the emperor of all evils, Allah, who resides in the Ka'ba in Mecca, (a meteoric rock).

The power of the evil Allah in the Ka'ba gets stronger when more human blood is shed by its adherents - in its name. Just count how many humans are slaughtered every year by Allah's soldiers (jihadists) and you will know who Allah is and why Moslems are mandated to visit its abode in Mecca.

Let's not forget that among the 'pilgrims' to make the Hajj are members and spiritual leaders of the Islamic State (ISIS) (that are slaughtering human beings like sheep), of Al-Shabaab (that has killed thousands of people both in Somalia and in Kenya, including 150 university students recently), Boko Haram (that has killed more than 14000 people in Northern Nigeria so far), the Taliban of both Pakistan and Afghanistan Taliban (that have collectively killed over 100000 people including innocent students in a high school) etc. This is Allah at work through its soldiers and defenders. The Hajj is the way it calls those under its influence, to visit it at the Ka'ba (in Mecca) to be blessed with more power and evil to enable them to kill and kill and kill. The more blood is shed in its name, the stronger Allah becomes. Pity those who are under its influence.

Should Ghanaians be encouraged to make this trip annually just to be 'blessed' by an Arab evil?

You are right to condemn the evil act of terrorists, but you are wrong when you desperately try to call all Muslims evil.

There are people who also argue that all religions are evil. So do not think your opinion is supreme.

If we were to justify the authenticity of religion by the atrocities committed by so called religious adherents, No single religion will be absolved of the accusations you are making.

Judge by what the scriptures say and the good examples of followers of a religion rather than choosing the few bad followers who might not even know the true teachings.

Should I judge your whole family by the action of you brother who chose to be a criminal? That will sound illogical.

If Boko haram was an Islamic wing Nigerians would not have voted for Buhari; a muslim. Stop speaking propaganda and speak the sense we all need to make sure that those bad elements in the society whether christian, jew, muslim, hindu, budhist, etc are isolated and dealt with.

My fellow 'Ghanaian' is writing as if he/she is an alien on this planet. And if he/she is a Moslem, he/she is talking as if the world is ignorant about what Islam is and what it stands for. The fact that more than 1.2 billion people in the world are Muslims does not give Islam as a religion, any better outlook. It is a religion founded on an Arabic evil deity. If its adherents can wrap explosives on themselves and explode them in places slike churches where there are worshippers so that many innocent people can be killed, then leave me and million other rational human beings to hold on to our believe that Allah - in whose name all these horrendous atrocities are committed is an evil deity. And by extension, all its followers are under its influence. Suicide bombers shout 'Allah hu Akbar' - 'Allah is great' when the bombs are being detonated. Why call on Allah before killing other human beings if that Allah is a kind and loving God? The Christian God commands His followers - you shall not kill. If Allah commands its followers to kill, maime, rape, destroy etc can we doubt the nature of this being if it's not evil?

Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries have joined forces to 'attack' IS, not because they hate IS and what it seeks to achieve (Al Bagdadi's (IS leader's) Caliphate fits into Wahabbism, the brand of Islam practiced in Saudi Arabia). Saudi's participation in the war against IS is motivated by the fear that the kingdom may be overrun by the marauding jihadists and the king and princes(s) may lose their wealth and privileges. It's a question of a family divided against itself.

Let's remember that the Jihadists fighting for IS are from all over the world. It is the command by Allah (through his prophet) that they are obeying - that Moslems everywhere must be ruled by Sharia - the laws, practices and customs of the Arabs during the 7th Century as expanded by Mohammed. This is what IS, Boko Haram, Al-Shabaab, the Taliban, Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood, HAMAS etc is seeking to etablish.

Whoever says Allah is not the evil Arab deity under whose influence Islam was established as a religion is not speaking the truth. Al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, IS etc are the face of the true Islam because their actions are in line with what Mohammed received from Allah and handed over to his followers as recorded in the Quran and in the Haddiths. Those who are pretending not to agree with what the Islamists (Al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, IS etc) are doing are hypocrites and 'Ghanaian' is one.

Readers must research the treatise of Mohammed Al Wahabbi (the 17th Century Islamic scholar who defined what Islam must be and its mission in the world. For example the destruction of Iraqi artefacts by IS is in line with the true Islam religion which forbids images of any kind.

If 'Ghanaian' is a Moslem, then I am afraid he's under the influence of the great Arab evil, Allah, period.

The Arabian god of Allah used it as its abode and Mohammed commanded that all his followers come and receive 'blessings' from Allah by coming to Mecca and dancing around the rock at least once in their life time. They used the bible to support their actions. Did that make the whole of Christianity an evil religions?

According to the Gesta Francorum, speaking only of the Temple Mount area, "...[our men] were killing and slaying even to the Temple of Solomon, where the slaughter was so great that our men waded in blood up to their ankles..." According to Raymond of Aguilers, also writing solely of the Temple Mount area, " in the Temple and porch of Solomon men rode in blood up to their knees and bridle reins."

A sex shop will soon reportedly see the light of day in Mecca – the last place anyone would have thought possible, for an establishment of this sort.

The ‘halal’ sex shop is the brainchild of one Abdelaziz Aouragh, who announced his intentions last year, but is only now “almost” ready to open his doors. He claimed to AFP that one Saudi cleric said the idea could lead to an “improvement of the sexual relationship between husband and wife.”

The establishment is going to sell a range of 18 ‘halal’ toys. But it won’t just be any shop – it will only strictly cater to Muslims in Mecca, Aouragh told Morocco-based news website Alyaoum24.

The owner already runs an online shop in Amsterdam, called El Asira. It opened in 2010 and was an instant hit with the Netherlands’ Muslim population, achieving “70,000 hits in the first four days,” as Aouragh told the Telegraph back then.

Another establishment by a different businessman opened up in Turkey in 2013. A range of products, from aphrodisiac oils to lubricants, was on sale in the online store.

For his Mecca project, Aouragh is going to enlist the help of German company Beate Uhse. The brand is one of the biggest retailers of sex toys in Europe and it already cooperates with Aouragh’s Dutch firm.

Don’t get your hopes up too fast though, if you’re a woman: no vibrators will be sold at the store, as those aren’t approved by Islam.

"Our products do include items that increase feelings of sensuality and improve the atmosphere between the couple in the sexual relationship between them," Aouragh explained.

Saudi Arabia has become known for its association for the strictest brand of Sunni Islam practiced by an existing state. However, Muslims note that the Prophet Mohammed was supportive of a healthy sexual life when it involves a husband and wife, which isn’t that different to Christianity. Mohammed even told men not to leave home for a period of longer than six months, so their wives do not feel sexually abandoned.

But I wonder if Prophet Mohammed would be proud of the saudis bombing YEMEN children to hell?

Besides this, Mohammed's reference to Allah was not criticized by the infidels of Mecca, as can be seen in the chapter 'The Collection of the Quran'.

(Also called the Holy Masjid) is described as a shrine of worship by Deodorus Sicolus in 60 B.C.
HAJJ
The pilgrimage to the Ka'aba was practicized before Mohammed's time, including visits to Safa and Marwa and also the throwing of stones against a stone pillar, symbolizing Iblis (the devil), in Wadi Mina. This is still practised today.

Yes Allah has been there before creation of heaven and earth. And pilgrimage to Kaaba really started since Abraham and his son Ismael, who is the grandfather of modern Arabia. But due to ignorance of the immediate generations preceding islam, pagan arabs started attributing the name Allah to idols and converted the Kaaba a shrine of idols. Therefore changing its purpose of serving as house for worshiping Allah, the most high God to idolatry.

It is as a result of this long ignorance of pagan arabia that God(Allah) sent his beloved prophet, Muhammad among the arabs as a prophet to all nations. He came and preached against the negatives practices of the pagans such as burying of live female children, usury, gambling, and worshiping of idols. When he gained hegemony over Arabia, he went to the sacred mosque perform his Islamic prayer and pointed his staff to the idols and recited the following verse; "Truth has come and falsehood has perished for falsehood is by it nature bound to perish" Quran 17:81

Upon reciting this verses the idols scattered and fell apart. He cleared the idols which were perceived by idolaters as invincible and restored the original form of pilgrimage as it used to be in the days of Abraham.

Allah is the arabic word for referring to the most high God. God is an English word. Words such as Elah(in aramaic), Elohim(hebrew) were all used in these respective language to mean the supreme God.

Idol worshipers also see their Chief Idols to be their Elah, Elohim or Allah. That was the case the pagan arabs find themselves before the prophet came to tell them that Allah is not their idols but there is supreme being called Allah who is above any creature.

"God is the Creator of everything. He is the guardian over everything. Unto Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth." (39:62, 63)

"No creature is there crawling on the earth, but its provision rests on God. He knows its lodging place and it repository." (11:6)

He is God the Creator, the Maker, the Shaper. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies Him; He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise." (59:22-24)

Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Musa (Moses) and 'Iesa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam)." Quran 2:136

This how Muhammad peace be on him saw Allah as opposed to the pagan Arabians' view of Allah. Do not confuse the two.

The fact that pharaoh saw himself as the most high God, did not mean there was no High God. That could neither be taken to conflict the concept of Moses' God just because there were both using a same terminology though different concept.

It is everyone choice to believe what he want to. But when we return to where we came from(God), we will all know the truth.

When the popularity of the moon-god waned elsewhere, the Arabs remained true to their conviction that the moon-god was the greatest of all gods. While they worshipped 360 gods at the Kabah in Mecca, the moon-god was the chief deity. Mecca was in fact built as a shrine for the moon-god. This is what made it the most sacred site of Arabian paganism.

The moon-god was called al-ilah, the god, which was shortened to Allah in pre-Islamic times. The pagan Arabs even used Allah in the names they gave to their children. For example, both Muhammad's father and uncle has Allah as part of their names. The fact that they were given such names by their parents proves that Allah was the title for the moon-god even in Muhammad's day.

Muhammad was raised in the religion of the moon-god Allah. But he went one step further than his fellow pagan Arabs. While they believed that Allah the moon-god was the greatest of all gods and the supreme deity in the pantheon of deities,Muhammad decided that Allah was not only the greatest god but the only God.

This is seen from the fact that the first point of the Muslim creed is not "Allah is great" but "Allah is the greatest" - he is the greatest among the gods. Why would Muhammad say that Allah is the greatest except in a polytheistic (many gods) context? The Arabic word is used to contrast the greater from the lesser.

That this is true is seen from the fact that the pagan Arabs never accused Muhammad of preaching a different Allah than the one they already worshipped. Thus "Allah" was the moon-god according to the archaeological evidence. (Encyclopedia of Religion) "The Arabs, before the time of Mohammed, accepted and worshipped, after a fashion, a supreme god called Allah" (Encyclopedia of Islam, eds. Muhammad thus attempted to have it both ways. To the pagans, he said that he still believed in the moon-god Allah. To the Jews and the Christians he said that Allah was their God, too. But both the Jews and the Christians, who worshipped Yahweh, knew better and they rejected his god Allah as a false god.

Al-Kindi, one of the early Christian apologists against Islam, pointed out that Islam and its god Allah did not come from the Bible but from the paganism of the Sabeans. They did not worship the God of the Bible but the moon-god and his daughters al-Uzza, al-Lat, and Manat (Three Early Christian-Muslim Debates, ed. by N.A.Newman, Hatfield, PA, IBRI, 1994, pp.357, 413, 426).

History proves conclusively that before Islam came into existence, the Sabbeans in Arabia worshipped the moon-god Allah who was married to the sun-goddess. We have also seen that it was a matter of common practice to use the name of the moon-god in personal names in Muhammad's tribe. That Allah was a pagan deity in pre-Islamic times is incontestible. And so we must ask ourselves the question: why was Muhammad's God named after a pagan deity in his own tribe?
It is an undeniable fact that an Allah idol was set up at the Kabah along with all the other idols of the time. The pagans prayed towards Mecca and the Kabah because that is where their gods were stationed. It made sense to them to face in the direction of their god and pray since that is where he was. Since the idol of their moon god, Allah, was at Mecca, they prayed towards Mecca.

As we have seen, and as is acknowledged amongst all scholars of Middle Eastern religious history, the worship of the moon-god extended far beyond Allah-worship in Arabia. The entire fertile crescent was involved in moon-worship. The data falls neatly in place and we are able therefore to understand, in part, the early success Islam had amongst Arab groups that had traditionally worshipped Allah, the moon-god. We can also understand that the use of the crescent moon as the symbol of Islam, and which appears on dozens of flags of Islamic nations in Asia and Africa, and surmounts minerets and mosque roofs, is a throwback to the days when Allah was worshipped as the moon-god in Mecca.

Is it any wonder that the symbol of Islam is the crescent moon? That a crescent moon sits on top of their mosques and minarets? That a crescent is found on the flags of Islamic nations? That the Muslims fast during the month which begins and ends with the appearance of the crescent moon in the sky?

I guess that rather sound polytheistic than "Allah is the greatest" or "No god but Allah" . These two verses in the Quran symbolize rather the highest form of monotheism if you understand the arabic grammar very well.

Concerning your moon god concept, listen to what Quran itself says "And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostate to Allah , who created them, if it should be Him that you worship" Quran 41:37. So your allegation that Muslims worship of the Moon god is preposterous and unfounded. It is true that idol worshiping was practiced in Arabia before Islam, but Islam does not support idol worshiping as shown by several verses of Quran.

The star and crescent symbol only became associated with Islam in the mid-20th century, following its use in the national flags of various successor states of the Ottoman Empire. By the 1970s, this symbolism was embraced by movements of Arab nationalism or Islamism, such as the proposed Arab Islamic Republic (1974) and the American Nation of Islam (1973).

The symbolism of the star and crescent in the flag of the Kingdom of Libya (1951-1969) was explained in an English language booklet, The Libyan Flag & The National Anthem, issued by the Ministry of Information and Guidance of the Kingdom of Libya (year unknown, cited after Jos Poels at FOTW, 1997) as follows: "The crescent is symbolic of the beginning of the lunar month according to the Muslim calendar. It brings back to our minds the story of Hijra (migration) of our Prophet Mohammed from his home in order to spread Islam and teach the principles of right and virtue. The Star represents our smiling hope, the beauty of aim and object and the light of our belief in God, in our country, its dignity and honour which illuminate our way and puts an end to darkness."

You can not suppose to muslims another meaning of their symbolism rather than what they believe, and in the spirit of which they adopted such symbols.

The crescent and moon symbol has no significance in the real sense of worship in Islam but symbols that are adopted by modern Muslims to differentiate between a mosque and other forms of building. For instance if you see a building with a cross on it you are sure its a church, and when you see a building with a moon and crescent on it that is certainly a mosque. When Ghana chose black star as part of our symbols we gave it our own definition. It might have a different meaning in another jurisdictions but it is non of our business.
