Let us applaud and encourage Dr. Edusei for him to serve as motivation to others who have the capacity to do same. Dr. Edusei is doing a wonderful work. May God bless him.

I am a college student, and I was privileged to attend one of the Edusei Foundation's Youth and Leadership Empowerment Workshops. Personally speaking, I have not attended any Ghanaian workshop that has been as organized and beneficial as the Edusei Workshop that I attended. The speakers and attendees were very professional, and the information shared was very beneficial towards steering me in the right direction to attain my goals. I left the workshop feeling empowered, and ready to think positively about my future. God bless the organizer, Dr. Edusei, and his family. I can't wait for the next Workshop!

Donating to youth (taxable by US standards) does not negate that fact. New African magazine has a long report about the EO Group from about 6 or 7 years ago. Others have written the same. Facts do not lie, read it and educate yourself!

The EO Group came out of E-Link, a company which Dr. Edusei formed in 1999 to facilitate his philanthropic and entrepreneurial ambition; a trait which is rooted in his family tree.

Dr. Edusei's EO Group brought Kosmos to Ghana. According to Ghana Petroleum law around that time, investors gets 90% whiles Ghana Government gets 10% of the accrued revenue from investors’ exploration of the oil.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT EO Group struck its deal with Kosmos Energy but not Government of Ghana. Thus EO's took its 3% share was from Kosmos Energy but not Government of Ghana. This goes to explain that EO's 3% was taken from Kosmos 90% shares that was due them. Thus Kosmos was left with 87% of their shares whiles Government of Ghana's shares remains 10% as stated by the Ghana Petroleum law.

Dr. Edusei's EO Group signed agreement with Kosmos Energy in July 2003, and rounded the agreement up in early 2004, whiles he became Ghana's ambassador to US in October 2004. So there was no conflict of interest whatsoever as some people are trying to force down our throat. The EO-Kosmos Energy deal was done before he became an ambassador.

In establishing the cleanness of the agreement, international investigators were hired to investigate EO. Yet, they found nothing wrong with their deal with Kosmos.

In 2013, Ghana government cleared EO of any wrong doings.

So now what? The obvious is that it is just due to sheer envy and hatred that some persons continue to throw dust into people's eye to soil the hard earn reputation of Dr. Edusei. But that is not gonna wash. Folks should rather be grateful to the EO Group for making oil exploration in Ghana a reality. After all, Tsatsu Tsikata spent millions of dollars of tax payers’ monies in about 20years on flimsy exploration engagements but to no avail.

Let’s Ghanaians be grateful to Dr. Edusei and his EO group, for they have done what "Napoleon" Tsatsu Tsikata couldn't do in 20years.

(PNDCL 64) gives GNPC the right to the development of the oil sector, oil exploration and
production. ( Dr Edusei group was in compliance with the law)
Petroleum Income Tax Law, 1987 (PITL)
(PNDCL 188) provides details of income and withholding taxes levied at the upstream stage
(exploration, evaluation and appraisal, development and production) of oil and gas operations.
( Dr Edusei Group was in Compliance with the Law)
The Internal Revenue Act, 2000
The Internal Revenue Act, 2000 is an act which provides the general law relating to income tax,
capital gains tax and gift tax. ( Dr Edusei Group was in Compliance with the law)
US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act ( Dr Edusei Group was in Compliance with the law and not even a thorough review by the US Justice Department found any wrong doings.

All international and national oil companies with stakes in the Jubilee Field, complied with laws relevant to the Ghana Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) reporting process.

Folks, note, No business group wanted to come to Ghana, until the Ghana Govt as an incentive decided to take 10%. due to the high capital expenditures needed to explore and produce oil fields. After many other companies, Hess, Hunt and a number of them had given up, Dr Edusei and his group formed a company and did not give up.

With luck and technology, they worked hard looking for a business group that will come to Ghana. God being so good, Blackstone Group decided to finance Kosmos, being led by the Dr Edusei Group and they struck quality oil that others ( Tsikata and Group have failed to do for 20 years) And if you look at the timeline, he did this not as government official but as private citizen. There was no conflict of interest. The Department of Justice in its its internal investigation found no violations of the 1977 law, which bans bribery of foreign officials for business purposes or conflict of interest. Please check DOJ and SEC reports.

Now Tullow has 36.42%. Other partners in the Jubilee Unit Area are Kosmos Energy (23.50%), Anadarko Petroleum (23.50%), the Ghana National Petroleum Company (13.75%) and Sabre Oil & Gas (2.81%) .
We have seen the Corporate Social Responsibility program by Tullow, Kosmos, Anadarko and GNPC.

Has anyone heard of social protection programs by Sabre Oil ( and they are Ghanaians), however when Dr Edusei Foundation decided to spend lots of money to support the education of the youth, health programs and food security, some people out of hatred, jealousy and misinformation are calling him names and insults. It’s a propaganda and false information, that is subjected to the rue of the law

The Model Petroleum Agreement, spelling out pricing of crude oil that Ghana is benefitting is due to Dr Edusei hard work and efforts. The Royalties to Ghana is due to Dr Edusei team hard work and efforts.

In 2013, Ghana government cleared EO of any wrong doings.

So now what? The obvious is that it is just due to sheer envy and hatred that some persons continue to throw dust into people's eye to soil the hard earn reputation of Dr. Edusei. But that is not gonna wash.

Folks should rather be grateful to the EO Group for making oil exploration in Ghana a reality. Afterall, Tsatsu Tsikata spent millions of dollars of tax payers’ monies in about 20years on flimsy exporation engagements but to no avail.

Let’s Ghanaians be grateful to Dr. Edusei and his EO group, for they have done what "Napoleon" Tsatsu Tsikata couldn't do in 20years.
