I am a health professional practicing overseas, but I hate the way doctors and nurses practice in Ghana. they treat patients like animals, what they're doing is unprofessional. everywhere there is strict regulations into how health professionals practice. why they don't want the executive interference, because they want to be left alone to continue with their heinous crimes. they often embarked on sit down strike for personal and monetary reasons putting patients lives at risk.

I have not being paid for 8months now. As a doctor, i buy my own drugs when i am sick, pay my hospital bills myself, no condition of service. Working environment is hell...cannot even get water to wash my hands, the list goes ...

If you Have NOT BEEN PAID FOR 8 MONTHS THEN WHAT are you doing there. Leave and if you are ready to sacrifice, then keep quiet and do it rather than making mess here and there

You are very right about the Morans we have for nurses and doctors.they exhibit animalistic behaviors.my dad died at 37hospital a year ago.I was in the Er at that time,I had to initiate for.....they lack basic oxygen in that facility.xray machines were not working,he had to be taken to an outside facility for basic chest X-ray.the system has indeed failed its people.There will be death and gnashing of teeth soon.

KATH is in ashanti region and almost evry staff is NPP, so anyone coming to occupy a position by merit and not NPP member is seen as a foreign body. The MOH should stand firm and sanitize KATH of their impunity.

A similar thing happened in tamale where the more competent person who came up tops in the interview for regional director of health was denied n prevented from taking over. The one who was last was made to act as regional director.

Similarly in the tamale teach hosp, there is a deputy director of procurement duly appointed. Yet a supply officer who doesn't even have an HND has been asked to be head of procurement. What a mess!!!
