This gentleman was the Ndc parliamentary candidate at Ayawaso Wuogon in the 2012 elections. A sweeping statement by Ndc apologists with the view to equalize, is what is hurting in this country. The allegations are very serious and will have to be investigated by a Parliamentary Commission, so as to put decent minds at ease. Is this theft the reason, we in Ghana are still paying so much for petroleum products, even when world oil crude price has dropped from $104.00 to $56.00 per barrel, in the last eight months?

The con trick is, the pastor has to create fear in you to make you want to part with your money. It is all a con. Don't work hard and give it away to a pastor. It will be used for jet fuel. If you must give something away, give it towards good causes.

They are a lot of sick people in our hospitals searching for financial help.

And when you want to be thankful to God for helping you steal from the state, donate to hospitals or better still return the stolen money to where you stole it from.

I have been following the Media report on the Current Media Spectacle between the BDCs and alleged collusion with Senior BOST officials over the period in ripping apart the resources of this Country. As I listened to the Audio where BDC reps, Transporters etc admit bribing their way I felt sad.
There are criminals within BOST and the entire downstream sector of the oil and gas industry and these are not new to industry players . The admission of BDC reps to having to condone corruption and admitted to paying bribes to get their way through is most unfortunate. If you are doing business and there are some corrupt officials at the Depot be it APD, Kumasi or wherever, do you accept to pay bribes to them to get your business transacted when you could report them to the Police or the CID? Admission by BDCs of having to motivate BOST Staff by paying cash illegally to do their business is at best disingenuous and ought to be condemned by all vigilant and forward thinking citizens.
There are Fundamental Questions To Be Answered:
(1). Was the Audio that of Senyo Hosi? Yes, because he admitted to having granted that Interview
(2).Has there been Systemic Collusion between BDCs and BOST senior staff to deliberately dupe the BOST system?
(3).Did the BDCs write to BOST for Product Losses? If yes, how reconcilable is it to the argument that, BOST didn't have a Strategic Petroleum Reserve and for that matter, there is no way the BDCs would have owed BOST?
(4) Did the E&Y report state that, in their reconciliation, the BDCs were rather owing BOST, has any of the named BDCs denied it?
(5)Does the BDCs sometimes create artificial shortages in the Country for the ordinary Ghanaian to suffer while they Claim So-Called Forex and Product Losses? While they may/can collect Product Losses, I still don't understand why Government has to pay Private Business Men for not hedging their FX. If you cant manage your Fx as a business entity, why should the Government pay you?
(6) Does the BDC claim government is owing them for $550million for Forex Losses?? Is this amount not more than the Money we received from the Millennium Challenge Account? Can they explain why Government should be paying them such hefty amounts of money.
(7)Will deregulation of Pricing Solve the issue?
(8) Does the BDCs have enough storage facilities? What benefits do they get when BOST is inefficient?
(9) If the BDCs have that much Credibility, why have they reduced the importation of Petroleum Products? Why do they rely on LCs and BGs instead of having an Open Credit Line? Are there BDCs currently depending on BOST imported products for distribution?
(10). Has BOST improved over the past years? When there was apparent shortage of Petroleum Products in September last year(2014), who Stepped in and Imported seven(7) Cargoes to salvage the situation?

It is important our media(Journalist) do research and Investigation into the the downstream petroleum sector to unearth the perceived massive and apparent bribery and corruption that is crippling our country. A critical Media must not just report headlines and stories but dig into the facts presented. Anybody can just gather figures and run to the Press in the name of presenting Watertight Evidence which are not as representative on the ground.

Lets be truthful and honest with ourselves and help the CEO Kwame Awuah-Darko ) of BOST to expose these guys. We have made ourselves hypocrites and the thieves are having their way. I would like CBOD , Management of BOST, the Petroleum ministry and the NPA to work together to flush out these criminals. The BDCs will have come again, you dont fight corruption by paying bribes when asked you say you had no option. There was and there is an option, report to the police, the CID

The only TRUE way to do so therefore is to resort to the SPIRITUAL means .

All we need to do is to start fighting corruption from the top and it will transcend to everyone in the country within a few months.

How do we accomplish this?

Whenever we swear in Politicians, Board Members and Senior Management of Parastatals, or any High Level Government Officials in the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), we should make sure as part of the oath of allegiance they SWEAR will include (1) a BLESSING to these individuals and their families if they perform genuinely and diligently as if to quote Mr. Mahama, "such institutions are for their fathers".

(2) We also need to insert a section within the same oath of allegiance on CURSING these same people and their families, and even from generation to generation if they ever amass wealth through corruption during the period they render their public service.

What Government can therefore do is to modify those oaths of allegiances slightly to reflect these proposals and I can assure you that, Ghana will surpass even Singapore in its development within months and not years.

I am not a politician, i can tell you that as a private business man and speaking for a number of my colleagues who may not have this opportunity, i want all to know that kwame awuah darkp has sanitized the work the various depot. Minor BDCs are not discriminated against, there is tranaparency, no more shortage of petroleum products. He has stopped extortions at the depots with the installation of sophisticated cctv cameras. The orderliness with which we transact our business is worth commending. I feel some people have vested interest in booting the man out so that they can continue their nefarious activities. Lets all support him to clean the mess at bost
