Much as I appreciate the fact that students paying utility bills is unfair, I also consider the circumstances in which we are currently. Student population has been more than sextupled since the last 15years, the number of tertiary institutions have been more than quintupled in the last 10years etc. Which Political Party in the face of dwindling resources would do otherwise? You may vote NPP or PNC, Or PPP into power and see if they would be much different.

The population in 1970 was like 10 million and by 2000, we were 20 million and student population had quadrupled by then but we did not charge students to pay for water and electricity so your excuse is moot.

Madam Lucy Asantewaa Anin the first MP of Ghana during Dr Nkrumah's time has said to the whole world that Kotoka and Rawlings are nation wreckers and the cause of Ghana's woes. VOTE NDC OUT, they will never succeed if even given 1000 years nothing good will come out of them. NDC is an evil party and need to GO come 2016.

KNUST failed to rusticate and report to the police a female student who beat up her roommate; the lecturers have been bought. It has been said that many lecturers lack teaching methodologies. What should be the minimum requirement in recruiting lecturers into a tertiary institution? Is it a masters degree or a PhD with a course in education??

Professors in tertiary institutions must read GES directives. There are many important and useful GES directives which would help them.

GES banned all forms of corporal punishment in Educational institutions but there are reports that some tertiary institutions are still carrying out this practice. Asking students to kneel down and so on.

Lecturers in tertiary institutions must recognize the fact that students in these institution are adults.

I strongly support the students, gov't must reduce unnecessary expenditures and fight corruption than asking students to pay utilities bills. Mr prez if you want to loose 2016 election ask students to pay utility

Am a Ga from Osu and its just a shame how the NDC is using the Gas and people form the Coast. Its a pity to see these boys and girls sit under trees at the castle doing nothing and yet the NDc intice them with GHc5

it is rubbing peter to pay Paul. Students don't work so it will be another burden on parents. if students are to pay , then those in the cabinet and all members of parliament should pay for all benefits.

These guys will have to pay. Nothing is free. Some of them have money to even organize parties on campus and send their girl friends to restaurants. What do they use their loans for? Buy candy?

What we forget is that IMF is bring in $1Billion Dollars while NDC thugs and ministers and functionalities have stolen over $27Billions from the government. Where has all the money collected in the country gone to. The way to pay back is to collect from everybody, from Taxi drivers, ports, companies, increase in utilitiy bills cuts in teachers training subsidies, cuts in the payments of electricity bills for the universities.

MY ADVICE TO THE GOVERNMENT PLEASE COLLECT ALL THE MONEYS PAID TO NDC GUYS, DUBIOUS CONTRACT PAYMENTS AND THE GEEDA, SUBA AND WE WILL HAVE MONEY TO RUN THE COUNTRY
