The President should not listen to any NGO because, at the end of the day when something goes wrong, all fingers will point to the President and not an NGO.

These so-called NGO is the work of the NPP trying to push their man there. Let's leave the work to the President. The Council of State can give advice on the President's nominee but the President is not mandated to accept and go with their advice.

For those who don't know the powers of the Sokoto Caliphate, it is the power house of the Muslim Community in West Africa. They influence the appointments of Imams in west Africa. Do you know why Hausas are few among Muslims in Ghana but majority of Imams in Ghana are Hausas? The majority of Hausas know the powers wielded by their caliphate and so an ordinary Hausa man will never worship in a mosque which has a non-Hausa as Imam. We in Ghana should not allow the Sokoto Caliphate to have a say in our internal affairs since where ever they exert their influence, there is always a disaster - take Nigeria for instance.
