Mr. Kufour's veiled criticism of Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has exposed him as a divisive figure in the party. Since Mr. Kufour already know about his arrogance, he should have been calling for his resignation or outright dismissal from the General Secretary position, just as he did when he found him to be too arrogant to continue working for him as his Press Secretary. The position he is occupying today is more sensitive than that of a press secretary and we don't want another Nkrumah or Watergate scenarios in the party any more.

Frankly, I don't see how Agyepong can continue to work as the General Secretary with all the negative information about his character and actions circulating in the media. The Guy should resign honorably, be forced to resign or dismissed outright if he drags his feet.

Mr. Kufour saying that Nana Addo "will ‘see Canaan, but will not step’ there" is an angry statement that could divide the ranks of the party further. Mr. Kufour should remember that it's not good for the party to remain in opposition after 2016 and Agyepong is a threat to NPP's victory.

Secondly, was the leadership aware of his arrogance? Anyway, whatever it is, the harm has already been done. There is no need to cry over spilt milk. That being the case,I think it would be in the best interest of the leadership of NPP to brush aside the unwanted distrust between the Vice Chairman and the General Secretary and stick together as one for the common good of the party and also to fight together for the common one purpose in mind, that is, to win the 2016 coming election and form a better government that would seek and do everything in the best interest of every Ghanaian irrespective of political affiliation and tribal linkage.

Freddie blay Chief Executive Officer of Western Publications Limited, owners of the Daily Guide Newspaper, Freddie Blay, has told Citi News, the paper will not render any apology to the general secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for publishing false information about him.

The paper was last week found liable for defaming Johnson Asiedu Nketia in a publication suggesting that he used his position as general secretary of the governing party to enrich himself and his family members.

The paper was directed to pay GHC250,000 to Mr. Asiedu Nketia by the court. Speaking to Citi News, Mr. Blay maintained that the paper still stands by its publication.

He described the case as “one of the worst cases that I have come across. It’s so bad and I don’t believe that thing should have gone to court and we refuse to render any apology.”

Mr. Blay revealed that his outfit will challenge the decision of the court saying, “we have appealed against it and I think that judgement shouldn’t have gone the way it went.”
