  Thanks for this question,can the director general tell me if any private school will allow a teacher to teach 6 subjects in a p4 class of 68 pupils?How can there be effective teaching?

  Much as this will be a good way to go an obvious drawback will be cheating at exams to achieve good results.

Private basic schools do better cos.1.supervision but GES know this nd yet keep T$T of circuit supervisors /subject co-ordinators for 6months at times.2.TLMs-Most of the private basic schools are run as business so almost all TLMs are available for both teachers nd pupils.Seriously,it is easy teaching in a private school than in a public schools in Ghana.

  So Dr Korh, you know the cause of the underperformance in public schools. Just put in place an effective supervision mechanism. Make the inspectorate division an independent agency. Stop posting and transferring teachers and fill all vacancies through an open and competitive application and interviewing process. That is what makes the private schools better.

  this director has not checked the dressing between private and public students
  parents provide socks from Monday to Friday
  when their wards are in the private schools

  Who asked Dr Danaa to take sides in a chieftaincy dispute by solely declaring the chieftaincy status of the Americans illegal. Who sent the National Security Officials to go and harass the Americans. We all know the National Security Zombis like operating under the cover of darkness( you remember the Legon Toll Booth Saga) and their hatred for dogs is unimaginable( you remember NS official threatened to shoot and kill the dogs of the software designer of UG students' election). So if the dogs of the two American citizens were killed prior to their gruesome murder you can now see those behind the killing.
  Dr Danaa cannot throw dust into our eyes. If others have thrown dust into his eyes, that is his own cup of tea.

  Annual performance evaluations including goals should be done at all government instituitions. All public servants in develop do this annually. Salary raises are based on annual performance.

They normally come to school with empty stomach. How can a hungry child learn. Dr. You should understand that private school children have responsible parents like you. Aaaaba.A professional shouldn't speak like that.Do u know what goes on during the exams?ok director why is it that when they go to university most of the private school students are withdrawn for poor performance.Go to the universities and ask the lectures and the professors they will tell u how good the government school learner are.Shame unto u.

Yes there are ocassions that performance could be low but that could not be a trend in the Ghanaian education sector. More grease to your elbowa. Teachers and all stake holders must be accountable for the year on year performance of their tutees. I hope this man will not relinguish in hos words and act strongly

We have about 90 to 110 students in those classes not to talk about the home economics class. I leave you to judge if most of these students are admitted with aggregates 30 to 42.

  how can u compare mangoes to oranges. can a girl in private school stops school in order to go n deliver n then go back to the school after wasting more than a year in the house? can a teacher in a public school repeat a pupil who is under performing in class? Go to the barracks(public schools) where teachers are allowed to discipline pupils, where parents are made to provide the needs of their wards to enhance effective teaching n learning, where under performing pupils are repeated, where parents ensure that their wards do their homework in the house n also see to it that they learn before going to bed....go there n see their performance, they even perform better than the private schools. make good policies n stop this nonsense!

  Maybe when they sign the performance contracts, they will feel obliged to use the salaries to buy chalk and registers for the schools. They can sign whatever contracts but unless government realizes that rural schools without electricity need chalk, pens/pencils and books instead of computers with the portrait of the president, nothing will come out of it. Teaching inputs ang well-motivated teachers are what is needed to turn around the schools not useless propaganda.

  This policy is long overdue. In addition to the performance contract, GES should check the use of square pegs in round holes. This policy should be implemented in all government institutions. Kudos.
