Look out for Charlatans at the earmarked Divestiture Companies. Nana Antwi Boasiako, Oduro Nyaning and Joseph Owusu Ansah , Chairman, Board of Directors, CEO and Deputy Financial Officer respectively, fraudulently transferred $1m dollars a month from GT account for 15 months (total $15M) immediately Ghana Telecom was earmarked for sale and shared the money amongst themselves with the Norwegians. The report on this matter is with the Ministry of Communications and the President Office. Hon Iddrisu Mahama was then the Sector Minister. Ask him, he knows about this matter. When the issue got to the then President, Mr. Kufour, he immediately SACKED the Norwegians. What Kufour refused to do was to prosecute the three officers concerned because they were all ASHANTIS and NPP members. Investigations were conducted when Prof. Mills took over as the president, and as usual with the president dubbed FAMA NYAME, when the report got to him he refused to take action. The same thing can happen to the companies earmarked for divestiture. Thieves all around!

Bring in reputable CEOs from Asia, Europe or north America to restructure and manage these industries to productivity and have them report only to the President of the country. Have them list these companies on the stock exchange as public entities or in mutual funds. You go to asia, North America etc snd thksnis what they do. They don't relinquish their power and sell public entities for the sake of payingnoff debt. Ghana is in debt becos of the lacknof disciplined managerial acumen. Our leaders act like brainless, headless demi gods. No thinking...just stealing

Terkper said he is optimistic the government can meet its budget deficit target of 7.5 percent of gross domestic product for this year. The shortfall was an average of about 10 percent in the past three years.

Ghana is West Africa’s second-largest economy and the world’s No. 2 cocoa producer. Oil is the country’s biggest export by value after gold and the nation produces about 100,000 barrels a day from its Jubilee field that’s operated by Tullow Oil Plc.

Private companies are renowned to be firm and deal better with labour unions than the state. They are not scared to confront labour or take the appropriate action in their companies to stem agitations.

You can not borrow money to pay due debts. Its only means more debt. It also means borrowing at a higher cost each time. The immediate step is fiscal discipline. Stop the wasteful and - in many cases senseless - political projects. Stop the gargantuan political promises you can only fulfill by borrowing money. Stop the official and unofficial corruption. Finally, Ghanaians must sack Mahama and his NDC.
