Who asked Dr Danaa to take sides in a chieftaincy dispute by solely declaring the chieftaincy status of the Americans illegal. Who sent the National Security Officials to go and harass the Americans. We all know the National Security Zombis like operating under the cover of darkness( you remember the Legon Toll Booth Saga) and their hatred for dogs is unimaginable( you remember NS official threatened to shoot and kill the dogs of the software designer of UG students' election). So if the dogs of the two American citizens were killed prior to their gruesome murder you can now see those behind the killing.

The people who went the demo. are Ghanaians like you and me. If u are happy with situation, enjoy it but let those who are content with it to express their sentiments.

Don't ask private citizens for solutions. This because people are paid to that job. If they cannot deliver what they promised, the best thing to do is resign and return their fat pay and allowances to the state. It is time that office holders are held accountable and told in the face to serve but not feed fat on our little resources. So my countryman/woman stop that your tribal rantings and let each do his or her bit and Gh. will develop.

The Vigil organizers have no business offering solutions. Why do we have people occupying positions? Why do we pay Mahama and his appointees huge salaries and all sorts of benefits? They are there to solve problems and make sure that Ghanaians have some comfort. People pay their bills and have right to uninterrupted power supply.

It is not my duty to do someone's job for him or her. If they cannot do the job, they have to stand aside and stop taking their salarie and all the free-bees that come with the post.

Vigils tell those sleeping on their jobs; "enough is enough wake up!"

They said they have the brains. It is their duty to perform. Jobs that require high level of knowledge and competencies are managed and controlled differently. A driver's job is different from Software developer's job so is chartered accountant's job different from messenger's job though all are important.

When you visit your dentist, you expect him / her to know his / her job. You do not go into the practice and give instructions. A competent person will politely tell you that "I have the skills to deliver". If he / she does not perform per the requirements of the job, that person is fired or you move to a different medical person. That is holding people accountable.

We cannot babysit them. If they lack ideas, let them resign. Their jobs demands more than what is needed to drive a car so your comparism does not work here.

Ghanaweb have not published any negative attribute about Kuffour's Government when they were in power. my other point, is what is the level of education of these call celebrities whose production is full of profanities reaping poor Ghanaians of their monies selling them films and music which does not make international standard. My final question apart from President Nkrumah, which government have make any meaningful impact towards expansion of electrical generating capacity of the country in resonance with Ghanaian population growth. Wasn't the same Danquah Busia people who objected to Nkrumah when Akosombo was earmarked to be built. Why do we say Dumsor is 3 years old. It is almost four years old, with no single analysis or solution in sight, except shifting goal post and failed deadlines. It actually started under the JDM's watch when he was Vice on 30 May 2011 - and that is 3 years., 11 months and 6 days ago and has continued throughout his mismanaged Presidency up to the 16 May 2015 Vigil.

LOAD SHEDDING CAUSES INCONVINIENCE
By Daily Graphic - 7th July 2011

"Once again Ghanaians have to deal with power cuts as a
result of maintenance works being carried out by the Volta
River Authority (VRA) at Akosombo which has resulted in a
generating deficit.
A statement from the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDco)
announcing that the company had begun an extensive load-
shedding exercise said the exercise would create a power
deficit, leading to supply interruptions to many parts of the
country.
The load shedding, which began on Monday, May 30, 2011,
is expected to end in July 2011, implying that many parts of
the country will occasionally be affected by the exercise
until the completion of the maintenance works.
According to the statement, the planned maintenance works
had made the available reserve margin very low, adding that
should the non-availability of the VRA generating units
continue, it would periodically reduce supply to consumers in
order not to compromise the stability of the entire power
system.
Power cuts are, no doubt, not a new phenomenon to
Ghanaians, but what is worrying in this instance is the
announcement that this time the load shedding will be
carried out unannounced during peak periods from 6.30 p.m.
to 9.30 p.m.
As usual, GRIDco, the VRA and the Electricity Company of
Ghana (ECG) regretted the inconvenience which the
unscheduled outages would cause consumers.
We appreciate the technical nature of the maintenance
works being carried out and are in agreement that the
stability of the entire power system must not be
compromised.
However, we are worried that GRIDco, the VRA and the ECG
are unable to come up with a well-planned schedule for the
load-shedding exercise to help the public plan their
activities.
Frustrations at previous major load-shedding exercises that
had been carried out in this country were greatly reduced
because there were accompanying publications of the load-
shedding schedule that helped the public plan their
activities.
Unplanned power cuts will cause great inconvenience to
industries whose operations will be hampered by erratic
power supply. Valuable equipment may even be destroyed as
a result of the erratic supply of power.
Another area that will be greatly affected are the hospitals,
particularly those that largely depend on electricity to carry
out surgeries and other delicate procedures. This means
valuable lives may be lost.
Besides the major users of electricity, domestic consumers
will also be affected. These unplanned power cuts will lead
to the destruction of household appliances.
Furthermore, the darkness that will be created when streets
lights are off for long periods can be fertile ground for
criminal gangs to terrorise the people.
These are the reasons we appeal to GRIDco, the VRA and
the ECG to go back to the drawing board and find ways of
coming up with a schedule to help the public deal better
with the load-shedding exercise."

Is this DUMSOR, a French word or what ?. You guys make a lot of noise whilst you can't even spell the term OFF-ON in your common dialect. I feel very much ashamed each time I see the DUM SOR (OFF/GET-UP)written by the media

Instead of holding vigils and saying dumsor must stop, rather spend you time and energy scrutinizing and critiquing the solutions government has put forward so that we can get the best at the end.

I think the President will solve this problem by the end of this year,then mount a strong campaign to win elections in 2016.
