Whiles celebrating the day, spare a thought on the destruction of the Bowiri Abohire forest reserve which is presently under seige by chainsaw operators and the local elders.

Fulani's are chopping off trees and setting forest ablaze always; until you get them and their cattle out of the shores of Ghana.

Don't expect any forest, or rains; if the environment is not protected.

We must inject more seriousness into this event to strongly alert the Public of the calamitous state of our Forests.

I hope the F.C. would take the opportunity to show us what it really has in store to arrest the massive, continued destruction of our Forests and Plantations.
