Yes, free education for the Northerners should be cancelled with immediate effect. The time, the late Osagyefo Dr Nkrumah gave them the free education, there were no Akonfem in the area. They had a few cattle around. They only job they were doing was chasing and killing of lizards and other rodents. So Dr. Teacher Trainee allowances for the trainees so that after their they can go to the teach the lizards and the rodents chasers free. So, if you cancel the trainee allowances then you equally cancel the free education in the northern Ghana, simple as ABC.

Teacher trainees are behaving unreasonably. It is one thing to protest against the withdrawal of allowances and another to demand the resignation of the deep minister of education.
First, the withdrawal of allowances for teacher trainees is a government policy and it has nothing to do with even the minister of education let alone her deputy. If the teacher trainees have ears that can hear, then by now they should be aware of the government's reasons for withdrawing the allowances. It is naive and childish for teacher trainees to expect the deeputy minister to oppose or challenge a policy undertaken by his own government.
With teacher training colleges being converted into tertiary institutions, teacher trainees have the opportunity to solve any financial challenges by going for students' loan scheme like other tertiary students.

This nonsense, if not nibbed in the bud immediately, will fester into something no government can contain -be it a CPP, PPP, NPP, NPP or Madam Akua Donkor's government.

Ghanaians misconstrue democracy as a system in which FREEDOM is absolute. Today the attack is on Ablakwa. If Mahama entertains this crass INDISCIPLINE being exhibited by these student leaders, the next stupid attack will be right on the Flagstaff House.

The correct democratic practice is where people are free to excersise their FREEDOM OF CHOICE. These students are free to go according to the tennents of agreement that made it possible for them to be admitted to their courses at the Colleges, or continue with their boycott which could be indefinate.

The students should be mindful that the Authorities too have the democratic right to admit other students willing to take Student loan in leu of the abolished allowance.

yesterday the honourable minister was interviewed and look at what he said that the cabinet is not going to review their enforcement because its helping the government and we the trainees as well talking of the increment of the previous national quota. but he also forgot that it was 3 badges they admitted in 2013 so if we were to go according to the quota why didn't the various principal's enrolled 600 students in the various institutions, he should spare us that crap!!!!
