Remember when the (P)NDC hired thugs to dump gravel in the water closets at Legon and drove away students home. Remember when Jerry Rawlings closed down ALL universities in Ghana because students were opposed to his stupid revolution? This was after the shorter-term closure that ordered students to go and carry cocoa in country with more than 80% unemployment rate. Remember when Totobi Kwakye (then NUGS president) and Steve Akuffo betrayed Ghanaian students and were richly rewarded as PNDC secretaries (Akuffo was later sacked for stealing cement). Remember when the educational system was recklessly dismantled because some revolutionaries wanted a new system that would train butchers, hairdressers, carpenters and painters (while at the same time sending their children to systems that would not be of any use to Ghana?) The PNDC and the NDC have always shown hatred for education. How many NDC men would even understand the role of an Aeronautics Engineer at UST? NDC revolutionaries want carpenters, barbers and hairdressers. That who they are. Stack illiterates.
