  The same USAID that had disbursed over $300,000 worth of cassava seeds to farmers in Ashanti region to distribute to other farmers is on the forefront in damaging our local agric industry with promises of "modern improved seed" methods. And as lazy as we are to find local solutions to our food security, we jumped on in with this $3 million.
  When you grow your cassava with seeds, that cassava may grow well, but gonna need seeds to grow the next cassava. the tree has lost its ability to reproduce it self from its own stem or tree. And that means those who eats it also in the long run may lose their ability to reproduce.
  Whatever you eat is what you become.
  
  The "special seed" works with Monsanto's chemical pesticides that are sprayed to kill weeds around the plants but DO NOT kill the plants,and that's the magic they're selling but harvests that survived this dose of herbicide and powerful pesticides comes with lists of health dangers, and high on that list is BIRTH DEFECTS.
  And the moment you start talking about it, then they want to pull out the aids that you become used to and the recipients of these loans had become allies of the enemy on their own destruction.
  Many professors in the US who voiced their reservations of this evil had their employments revoked because Monsanto gives big money to these colleges, but here in Ghana, the USAID is been used as the front man due to its "good" works of giving hand out to us.
  
  WATCH OUT FOR THOSE WHO COME OUT BEARING GIFT GHANAIANS.

  The GMO scheme will cause more pain, suffering and death than what one million years of terrorism can ever manage to cause.
  
  We should address these threats to our existence with the kind of posture and language that the subject demands. GMO is a diabolic threat scheme whose interest is only to fatten and increase the billionaire status of a handful of people
  
  The long and the short of it all is that GMO is the last stand against a majority of the vulnerable people of the world in the bid of global imperialism to either continue their age-old domination of them (us) or ultimately, to wipe out vast sections of mankind which in their selfish, arrogant and greedy estimation, are either in this world only to serve their needs or a waste of space.
  
  Any university that stoops so low as to associate with this evil plot has ceased the merit of being seen as such. Of course we do not expect that the so-called university of Ghana, where higher learning university students now resort to free-range shitting and buying food from bush canteens run by totally illiterate food-vendors, has the ability to put just two pieces of sense together to resist this onslaught against their own people.
  
  The so-called intellectuals who continue to mismanage this university just to maintain their petty creature comforts and presumed prestige, are very probably over-joyed that their oppressors have thrown a paltry $3 million at them to steal and to eventually kill themselves.
  
  As to how and why our equally useless govts continue to permit the kind of retarded and dumb 'intellectuals' that prey on our youth in these universities, to freely engage in such transactions is another mind-boggling issue.
  
  Unless we are all overpowered by a death-wish, Ghana has no reason to be subscribing or affiliating with dangerous schemes which are recklessly designed to either emphasize our subjectivity to our oppressors or, if that fails, to quicken the pace to our extinction from the face of this earth.
  
  Are there no more men of courage and intelligent people left in this country who can rise up to the occasion in the defense of Gods children?

  PHD in Agric with no land for farming. You don't need a PHD in Agric when you don't have a land to farm on . Africa is confused just tangled and gridlock. These students don't have a land to practice farming just books.

They just accept anything the Whitman tells them without any sort of push back as long as it involves money. Or maybe they don't research like their counterparts in the other countries. USAID????

  Officials at the 3 premiere universities, UCC, KNUST and UGCC should provide a list of graduates from their respective schools of Agriculture, listing for us where those folks are or their employment history. I'm certain majority of those graduates toiled in government offices, with most living and working outside Ghana, while a bulk of them never applied their classroom skills on any land in Ghana. When was the last time, year or decade Ghana was known to have been self sufficient feeding itself and having excess harvest for exports?
  Ghanaians have decided what professions deserve our respect to our iwn detriment we never gave carpentry, plumbing, masonry, farming/agriculture and fishing to be worth our respect. People enter colleges and or universitis to pursue these courses because society expects us all to be proud and boastful of some meaningless college degree; most would not be caught dead applying their skills to earn a living. We are glad in Ghana/Africa to get relief aid from the USA and other nations full of farm products yet it never occurs to us to figure out why those nations can afford to give us those handouts. How many of the staff at these school departments did not earn some training or certification from outside Ghana, perhaps the USA and yet sit in offices waiting on our untrained and uneducated farmers to feed us all? There is no amount of foreign aid that is going to sustain programs at these schools or make them better. This latest aid is to give administrators even more power to accept bribes and exert corrupting influence on society as to who is awarded scholarship and or gain admission; yet another game to make money at the expense of students and parents.
