Immature and unprofessional journalists all over the place. How can you go to a project site, without introducing yourself and begin taking pictures of the place and the people there? What has become of Ghana? You cannot do this anywhere. Anyway, I am against the assault, but the soldiers have the right to confiscate the camera until the journalist properly identifies himself and seeks permission to take pictures. This permission can be refused. Things must be done properly.

Instead he was subjected to that, plus beatings.

If things are to be done properly, then why did they not do that? Also if things are to be done properly, why werent there any signs put up like the ones they have at the american embassy in ghana saying No photographs?
Thirdly - what is it that can be so secretive about building a carriage road???

They can prevent them from taking pictures of him without permission but not to physically assault them.Anyone can take pictures of the construction site unless there is a visible posted sign prohibiting such activities.
Those journalist sue Ibtahim Mahama and parliament must take action. The rule of law must work

The John Dramani Mahama NDC family and friends gov't has demonstrated they lack the ability to govern and would prefer a backward, primitive, boko haram sort of enivironment, governance, and country where even journalists are assaulted for taking pictures in this country.
This is a threat to our democracy and it continues to be a threat to our democracy when the fourth realm of the estate, the media fraternity is being assaulted by no less a personality than the brother of President John Dramani Mahama of the NDC gov't. Our democratic society has clearly broken down and a culture of impunity and strong arm tactics of terror has been unleashed on this country. The country is sitting on tenterhooks and the center cannot hold under this John Dramani Mahama-led NDC gov't.

There is an impression from NPP that the whole of Ghana stand still until they come to power. The project at Ashaman we are told is not being build by Ibrahim Mahama's company, though the contractor hired some equipments from his company. NPP members will not have any problem if the equipment was to have been hired from their member or a foreign company. NPP is against the construction of that road which means they they wish the people of Ashaman live in that deplorable condition forever.
