Who asked Dr Danaa to take sides in a chieftaincy dispute by solely declaring the chieftaincy status of the Americans illegal. Who sent the National Security Officials to go and harass the Americans. We all know the National Security Zombis like operating under the cover of darkness( you remember the Legon Toll Booth Saga) and their hatred for dogs is unimaginable( you remember NS official threatened to shoot and kill the dogs of the software designer of UG students' election). So if the dogs of the two American citizens were killed prior to their gruesome murder you can now see those behind the killing.

Is it not the same NDC splitting Ghana into two ? They call NPP as Akanfo party so what is NDC non Akanfo party ???

When l was growing there wasn't any big tribal division in Ghana, l didn't even know who were foreigners in Ghana, since l considered everyone to be a brother or sister, now come to Ghana and witness this tribal hatred being propagated in Ghana. This trend is very dangerous for Ghana.

You have a point that any new Party out of NPP could turn out to be like Konadu's. I, personally, think the time is too short for that. However, the success of any such Party would depend on how aggressive the members work to court supporters, and who they choose for their Flagbearer.

There is a good possibility that certain pathway in the current Mahama murder case could conduct an explosive bang for the emergence of any such Party. Don't ridicule the idea.

Once again, I would like to repeat that it is the passivity of Akufo-Addo for his leadership style that has caused the feud within NPP to reach this depth. You may disagree because you hate to hear any criticism against Akufo-Addo. But over and over again, many have cited his silence on emerging dynamics in the Party as contributing to the chaos.

I have always maintained that his silence on many thorny issues has suggested to folks that he either did not care much, or was in quiet support of one side in contention on that issue.

As a Leader of such a prominent Party and a Flagbearer, Akufo-Addo should have always been on his toes to take initiative to cool down tempers, refute harmful divisive rumors, and even shown a more affability and warmth towards the besieged two Officials of the Party, Afoko and Agyapong, right from the very beginning of their taking over the Party's Management...

Instead, Akufo-Addo chose to sit on the sidelines to quietly watch his henchmen assault the two almost incessantly. All the speculations that because the two were Alan's supporters they would undermine Nana's campaign to win the Presidency in 2016 are just that: Speculations.

All Nana had to do, even if he feared those suggestions about the two to be true, was engage them in a more amiable manner and more frequently, even as he kept his eyes peeled to ensure his campaign was not derailed.

The so-called Agenda-2020 was nothing but a cacophonic stirring-stick to further antagonize the two, and make them look unacceptable at their new posts. There's a strong indication that there has been a long nurtured desire to find a way to get rid of the two by Nana's faction of the NPP. A desire that was born right from the first day after the two won the Elections that put them in those Offices. No wonder even before the investigations into the Murder of Mahama could reveal who the culprit really is, you and others on Nana's side have been calling for the impeachment of the two.

If the linking of Afoko's brother to the Murder is even what some may be basing their assumptions on, what has that to do with Agyapong that you guys want him to be forced out along with Afoko?

It is very sad that many, like you, tout the NPP's commitment to the rule of law but blatantly attempt to manipulate issues to ignore that very principle. If the Law were to be strictly adhered to, the call for even Akoko's impeachment, as suspicious as his complicity in the Murder might be, would be illegal.

If it is the ethics involved that you guys are worried about, it only takes a gentle prodding to let Afoko decide that, given that his brother has been picked up by the Police. But even so, there is some likelihood that if his brother was involved, Afoko himself might be innocent and could not have known anything about the Murder.

So, think harder about these issues, buddy, and allow the Law take its course. And if you still believe in your Akufo-Addo, begin offering him better advice to be more proactive and open to others in the Party. By the rule of Law, no one is guilty until proven so in a Court of Law. So, leave Kwabena Agyapong and Afoko to do their jobs.

In fact, I could even see a more conciliatory and harder working duo for Nana's goal, if the two were to be left alone. This is because I, believe, they do not want to act in any other way to confirm your worst fears about their intentions.

Kufuor breaking away and forming another party can only be suggested by somebody who is out to lunch and Okatakyie seems to be operating like somebody who is one can short of a six pack.

I am not stupid not to know what this Okatakyie guy is trying to do and stated it clearly in the comment you are responding to. Okatakyie and his Alan 2020 Agenda group knows Alan Kyerematten breaking out with his less than three percent support in Npp will be a suicide and as usual hiding behind President Kufuor popularity to cause problems.

G.K, I am not wet behind the ears as you seem to think and know it is not only possible but more likely the suspension of Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong will result in a split of Npp but none of the three leaders of that likely new party, Alan, Afoko and Agyapong have a large following.

Akuffo-Addo can only campaign on the achievements of Kufuor in order to wrestle power from MAHAMA. These trouble were all instigated by Gabby Otchere Darko whose desire to form Aky mafia by vilifying Prez Kufuor. His evil desire was ably supported by Big Mouth Kennedy Agyapong and his ilk. This evil perception about Afoko and Agyepong as being anti- Akuffo-Addo and Alan loyalists has impeded the progress of the party in many fronts. These two have never been given a dog's chance to freely operate, let alone prove their loyalty to the party. If Akuffo-Addo was smart enough, he'd call people like "Too known" Ken Agyapong to order.

I am at a lost as to why people stop short of admitting that all the problems in NPP is the result of Nana Addo sitting on the fence and not offering any position on any key national or party issues and leaving party zealots to dictate the pace so that if things head south he can always swing to the right side of history. Politics is about hard decisions and the willingness to live with the consequences or bathe in the glory of your decisions, but Nana wants to play in the middle of the road. In politics this is a non-starter and a recipe for failure. If you are finding party decision making tough maybe it is your cue to retire and allow someone with real balls to run the show. By the way don't tag me as NDC, because I don't care who rules Ghana, I only want it to be ruled well and so far both NDC and NPP have under performed in this arena.

However, my own interest in seeing NPP have the best leader possible, also, transcends partisanship. I have always been hoping to see Ghana advance, no matter which Party rules.

I have always admonished our Politicians even to drop or minimize their allegiances to our old highly polarized ideologies of Nkrumahism and Danquah-Busia-Dombo traditions in order for us to have a better coalescence of ideas to build the Nation. That is not to say we cannot learn from or adopt the best from those past heroic Politicians. But what I wish we would do is to not invoke the bitterness that attended our Partisan Politics in those early days leading to and immediately after our Independence.

One of my ideal Political wishes for Ghana is to see viable Parties that would boldly embrace the positive contributions of all our past Politicians, and cite only their mistakes for lessons we need to learn to stay safe and chart the Nation to continuous growth, year after year.

I see it as a self-limiting exercise to always refer to ideas of our Pioneers without practically doing much of our own original thinking to fulfill those ideas today. Meanwhile, the World has changed a lot since the ferocious competition to get only one ideology reign the Nation.

I believe in the safeguarding of our basic democratic principles without committing too rigidly to any political polarity. For example, we should not shy away from adopting effective social welfare programs to help lift the very poor to join the rest of us in competing fairly in a Capitalist environment. That would not stamp a 'Communism' tag on our Nation. When I often hear our Economics cite the differences between our economic performance and that of Singapore, I realize how inadequately they source factors that allowed Singapore's rapid rise. That might be a deliberate omission, (possibly, politically induced) to obscure the similarities that Nkrumah's Development Plans had with Singapore's, and by which the other factors that impinged on Nkrumah's Program to create that wide gap between it and that of Singapore would be exposed.

That necessary level of Social intervention suggested above must not necessarily be permanent but be subject to sensible periodic tweaks, through Parliamentary assessment, to reflect the real economic status of the Population. Some of such programs could be retired after a while when we have exhaustively evaluated them to see they have satisfied our purpose. Our National Economic Policies must be nimble and malleable to accommodate the dynamism of modern trends.

Well, sorry for making my response to you so long. But I thought it would help to share this view of mine about our Ghana for others to evaluate, add to and help to refine for the best core goals for the Country. We would be less contentious in our Politics, and our Politicians would not be able to digress too far from our National goals or development plans.

In this regard I am sorely disappointed about the happenings in the NPP and I cannot begrudge those who want kufuor and his criminal clique out of Akuffo- Addos way. Even as an outsider it is obvious to me that the Kufuor-Alan-Afoko axis is scheming against the NPP flag-bearer. I do not know the reasons why and I do not want to know the reasons. All I am interested in is the solution of the bigger problem - which is to throw the NDC out and save this country from imminent collapse

The ex president JA KUffour will not heed to the formation of another party as a solution to quell the insurgency in the party which may be unwise. He was once a staunch Akuffo Addo supporter, When he realised that there were several others ahead of him in the pecking order, he switched camp and joined the Kyeren=maten brigade and spat nothing but vile during the entire flag-bearership campaign. The bad politician that he is, he could not even foresee how he was contributing to Kyerematen's eventual total disgrace with his juvenile outbursts. Then, even before the results of the voting had been declared, this disgrace of a human being was all over the place soliciting for Akuffo Addo to make him his campaign manager.
He naively thinks if President Agyekum and others break off to form a new party, he stands the chance of being considered for a position as a garden boy at party headquarters. This guy is a total disgrace to his own mother, and must be pardoned for any foolish statements the gods put in his mouth.

It's not like the ndc where anyone who wants a position in the government of the late Mills, and even now, could just get up and insult him and say terrible things against him.The npp cherishes Kufour so much.Why are they following the footsteps of the ndc? But like a contributor to this site said the other day, they have given Kennedy Agyapong, too much room in the party. They have made him to smuggle drugs and made some money.They have supported and defended him,even at the peril of their lives. They have made him untouchable in the party.Am not sure if they are afraid he will reveal confidential secrets of the party,hence the fear to touch him. To accuse former president Kufour of being behind the chemical attack on the late Adams, and the silence of Akufo Addo, is just too much for every Ghanaian, irrespective of his or her political leaning, to tolerate.If Ken Agyapong wants Akufo Addo to win power, this is not the way to go about it.I wonder, if he knows the number of people who will not now vote for Akufo Addo, as a result of his malicious and reckless allegations against the former president. NPP has been a party I have never liked because of their tribalistic tendecy. They have made NPP unattractive to many of the citizens of Ghana aside those who are akan based. Even today, I want the NDC to leave power but I think if NDC will conduct themselves properly, the NPP will find it difficult to get power.

Kufuor did not ask to stay in Power 1 day more than the Law allowed. So, how do you justify that he was greedy and selfish? However, I must say I am disappointed in your reaction to Mr. Berko and and your conduct demonstrates exactly what is wrong with us all. We simply resort to defamation when we lose an argument instead of listening to the other person's reasoning, accepting shortcomings, and using the content lessons to improve out output (pardon me, for I usually do not react to GhWeb posts because there are only a handful of thinking heads on these fora - most just come to insult others). Why would/should Mr. Berko hate Nana Addo? He is just pointing out that those who are claim to be close to Nana should tell him to up his game because he just failed leadership 101.

1. Leaders are distinguished from others (the boys) because of their persuasiveness - they do not wait to get power before they start to prove themselves and we are yet to see Nana prove himself in anyway

2. King Solomon, Abe Lincolm, Martin Luther etc are all remembered today because they took a stand on critical issues and suffered or enjoyed the consequences.

3. We are all inundated with stories about politicians making deals with the devil (literally) to win power, could Nana not make a deal with these perceived detractors? or are they worse than the devil the everyday politician works/deals with through mallams, pastors and voodoo priests?

4. Can't Nana sit with these guys and make them a deal they cannot resist contingent on the goal that they help him win power (afterall I am yet to see an African politician or foot sldier who really believes they are seeking political power to help the people - it is all about create, loot, & share) - with all the greed running through us Africans, there should be a deal these guys cannot resist - Nana should research into this.

5. Sorry I need to end, I really hesitate to post on this forum, but Sarpong if you feel you really like Nana, and are close to him, and want him to do better please scout the forum, pick up constructive critisisms and pass it on.

When over 2,000 votes were deliberately destroyed by voters in the delegates conference to choose party flag bearer then it shows the number of and strength of the enemy within the party. I have made this statement many, many times even before this current crisis. It's time to rise up work towards unity. Now where is NPP'S voice or message. There is a lot to do. It's been such an unfortunate situation but Afoko and Agyapong have been a disappointment to the party; they haven't been smart.

Rawlings has often subjected Kuffuor to contemptuous ridicule, believing he was very corrupt as president and has nicknamed him Ataa Ayi, the name of a notorious robber. Former President Kuffuor can no longer play the idle by-stander. Silence is not always golden. Sometimes it means consent. Kuffuor needs to clear the air and as a former president help to heal the wounds and unite the party. It's also time to fire the loose cannons in the party if they will not conform to party rules.
